The Role
You will be part of an evolving Creative team that’s in the midst of growth and refinement. Our pursuit is guided by two aspects – applying craft and creativity to meet real-world needs, as well as equipping creatives, like yourself, with the skills for a fruitful, fulfilling and sustainable career.
As an Art Director, you will be expected to bring a strong sense of aesthetics and visual storytelling to the work. Apart from working with the team to create, develop and sell ideas, you will also be expected to apply a high level of craft to create thumb-stopping visuals that can convey emotions and change perceptions.
Your skills will be challenged and refined on briefs across a wide array of brands, ranging from music to fashion, and even financial institutions. This may include crafting a new look and feel for a brand, working with directors, photographers and artificial intelligence to create moving visuals, or even simply tweaking an image to increase a product’s visual appeal.
You will excel in this role if you possess the tenacity to perfect the details, the ambition to make an impact with your work, and the persistence to bring ideas from thought to reality. The team is built on autonomy and ownership, and we are looking for someone who is ready and willing to step up and be counted on.
Responsibilities
- Ideation - work as part of a team in conceptualising creative solutions for communication problems
- Social thinking - craft stories and build brands through social content and community activation
- Graphic / Aesthetic - understanding of graphic design, typography and layout and how it extends through physical and digital platforms
- Executional - able to develop social content (gifs/videos) and engagement for brands
- Presentational - convey ideas and artistic vision to the internal team in a clear and confident manner
- Collaboration - able to creatively collaborate with different people and teams to bring innovative solutions to the table.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in advertising, digital design or content creation
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects
- Has proven skills to craft stories and build brands through campaign level thinking and execution
- Experience in collaborating with other creators, artists, directors and photographers
- Ability to work and behave professionally in a fast-paced team environment
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced, professional and team environment
- Proactiveness in driving self-learning and skills improvement
- Maintains knowledge of current social trends
- Embraces challenges and new methods of thinking
