Job Description & Requirements

• Responsible to the Principal Engineer, Piping for the preparation of design as per codes / standards and client’s specifications, requisitions for materials, equipment, valves, etc., and for the timely completion of each planned engineering activity assigned to him / her.

Qualification & Experience generally required

Responsibilities

• Work as Senior Tankage Design Engineers to execute the Tankage Design Engineering of

the Project which includes design of Fixed Roof Tank / Floating Roof Tank as per API 650,

Low Pressure Tank as per API 620, Spherical Tank and Bullets as per ASME Section VIII &

Cryogenic Double Wall Tanks as per API 620 & API 625.

• Preparation, Review & Checking of Tankage Design Documents such as Design Calculation

for Tank, Finite Element Analysis, Tank Data Sheets, Tankage Material specification,

Tankage Fabrication Drawings & ensure Compliance to API 650, API 620, API 625, ASME

Sec VIII, AP 2000 and all Applicable Codes & Standards.

• Prepare all Tankage documents in accordance with project specification. Maintain Design

integrity and quality within the Project Engineering Team

• Preparing Engineering schedule and Engineering man hours estimation to meet project

requirements.

• Coordination with PMC and Construction Coordination.

• Participates in discipline and inter-discipline design check and screening meetings for

POSITION OVERVIEW

• Actively participate in HIRAs and QHSE-related activities
• Produce scopes of work for sub-contractors
• Attend and oversee offshore operations during execution phases to ensure adherence to procedures and guidelines
• Travel offshore and internationally as required

Requirements:

• Honours degree accredited by the Engineering Council in Naval Architecture
• Classification of at least 2:1, although relevant experience may be accepted in exceptional circumstances
• Five years of post-graduate experience, which can be reduced if other relevant experience can be demonstrated
• A minimum of 5 years' experience working within the Energy Industry, specifically Oil and Gas or Renewables
• Competency in a mooring analysis software with a knowledge of Orcaflex, Ariane, Hydrostar, Moses, GMOOR (or similar) being advantageous
• Project experience coupled with business acumen, the ability to apply knowledge, and the confidence to act as required
• Strong leadership skills with a willingness to further develop themselves and the assigned team
• Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal forms with highly effective inter-personal skills supported by good attention to detail
• Ability to travel offshore and internationally as required
