JOB TITLE: Executive Assistant to Chief Technology Officer, Group COO
SALARY: £86,984 - £102,310
LOCATION(S): London
HOURS: Full time
WORKING PATTERN: At least two days per week (or 40% of your time) at one of our offices listed above.
What will I be doing?
As the Executive Assistant, you'll lead the Chief Technology Officer's Office Team, working closely with the Personal Assistant and colleagues across the CTO teams, the wider GCOO community and with external stakeholders. As the CTO team provide pan-Group services, you'll be confident engaging at all levels across the Group. The role is multifaceted, and you'll need to be able to balance challenging demands in a pressurised environment, so the ability to prioritise is a necessity. You'll collaborate on shared initiatives and act as Vic's deputy as required, alongside planning and coordinating Vic's colleague engagement schedule.
We're looking for a colleague with an engineering/architecture background and/or a solid understanding of technology in the financial sector, who is comfortable working in a challenging environment. You'll have a great eye for detail and outstanding written and verbal communication skills. You should be confident in developing relationships at all levels, influencing internal and external partners, and contributing to the broader planning and business decision making within GCOO.
What skills would we need to see?
We like people who come from a diverse set of backgrounds, bringing new ways of thinking to our team. The role is specific to our industry though, so to be successful in the role you'll need to show the following:
- We'd need you to have a strong awareness of financial governance structure so you can lead the division in ensuring compliance with Group policy and procedure.
- You'll have superb communication skills - especially visually and through "telling the story", using the data to communicate complex messages in an accessible and compelling way. You'll also be able to distil sophisticated information and present it in a succinct and clear format through both written and oral presentation.
- We believe that collaboration is crucial, and you'll feel the same. You'll be excited to work with a wide range of colleagues, building effective working relationships with colleagues up to executive level, using keen influencing skills to bring them on the journey with you.
- Your passion and self-confidence in your own judgement will drive you forward, allowing you to thrive in a dynamic environment and pivot when needed. Your strong organisational skills will allow you to balance multiple priorities.
- Discretion and trust are key. You'll be screening information and communications directed to the Chief Technology Officer, responding, rerouting and prioritising as appropriate.
