Due to rapid growth, we are seeking an experienced Design Manager cum Team Leader to strengthen our technical team. This is a full-time position, and it is perfect for someone with rich façade design knowledge and passionate about managing roles.

Job Responsibilities

· In charge of Design Team to carry out façade design works.

· Organize and plan a design works to meet construction schedule.

· Provide leadership and manage the team members in a professional manner, e.g., allocation of work, providing guidelines to them in drafting to maintain the quality, improving productivity, checking drawings and cutting list profiles etc.

· Ensure design, drawings, and all other deliverables meet the standard requirements, specifications and within scope of works.

· Identify additional work/variations to the Project Manager / Contract Manager for processing/approval of the variation order.

· To coordination between Design Team, Consultants, Main Contractor and other contractors.

· Assist site team in resolution of site clashes.

· Participate in workshops and lead, review and comment of shop drawings in terms of constructability, sequencing and ensure quality of the design is maintained throughout.

You will provide support to the Innovation Council and coordinate with Priority Area Leads to drive healthcare innovation efforts across the Academic Medical Centre (AMC), fostering partnerships between internal stakeholders and external partners to build a sustainable platform for sharing and learning. As part of the Academic Medicine Innovation Institute (AMII) secretariat team, you will plan and facilitate the key meetings of AMII. You will lead the preparation of the meeting materials and ensure timely monitoring, reporting and updating of the progress of AMII projects and initiatives to the Senior Management and other key stakeholders.

You will also be involved in the coordination, planning and organisation of AMII key events, such as the annual Innovation Retreat and Workshop. Additionally, you will maintain the repository of innovation projects by coordinating with the relevant offices to compile and update project information. You will be responsible for keeping an up-to-date record of AMII’s innovation resources, including assets, capabilities, programmes and partnerships and ensure that the information is up to date.

As a secondary role, you will support the planning and execution of cluster-wide innovation grant calls.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline, preferably with good honours
• 6 to 8 years of relevant experience, preferably in healthcare management, innovation funding, or any other innovation-related fields
• Knowledge of healthcare innovation processes
• Experienced at stakeholder management and partnering
• Experienced in grant administration and organising webinars
• Experienced in using data visualisation tools
• A professional team player who can facilitate discussions among different stakeholders and drive shared goals
• Adept at handling complex, ambiguous and challenging situations

You will be involved in the following training program:

* Reviewing of invoices and match/trace them to the PO, DO and other supporting documents to ensure that the invoices are accurate and timely taken up into the books

* Monthly accrual of expenses with the relevant basis to ensure recurring expenses have been taken up in the correct period.

* Invoices are taken in on time and accurately recorded into the system.

* Invoices with discrepancies are flagged out and returned back to the operations department to reconcile.

* Ensure monthly recurring accruals are taken up into the system.

* Accruals are computed based on reliable estimates and variance between actual and accruals are within tolerable margins.

* Bank reconciliation is performed timely and recurring GIRO payments are taken up into the system.

To be successful in this role, you should be pursuing a Diploma in Accountancy or equivalent. You must be proficient in Microsoft Excel & Word. You must be confident, independent and meticulous. You must also have the ability to cope with tight deadlines.
