The role
Children’s Services in Tameside are looking for committed and enthusiastic Team Manager to join us in our Cared for Children Service who work with cared for children from 0-18 years of age.
As Team Manager, you will lead a team consisting of a Senior Practitioner and 6 Social Workers. You will have responsibility for ensuring timely care and permanence planning for children and also transition planning to adulthood for the 16-18 year old young people. You will achieve this through professional and reflective supervision, supporting staff learning and development and ensuring the production of high quality work to improve the outcomes for our Cared for Children.

With fantastic leadership skills and attributes, you will ensure your team members are well supported and equipped to succeed. We expect you to have extensive frontline experience as well as a solid track record of managing and developing a team. Building positive relationships is important not just with the children, young people and families we work with but also with colleagues and external partner agencies.
You will offer a high level of support and challenge to your Social Workers and inspire your teams to do their very best for Tameside children.
