Your new role
A great school in North Devon is currently seeking a qualified secondary design technology teacher to join their dedicated and supportive team who take an innovative and creative approach to education. You will be working within a friendly and collaborative department that aim to provide a top education for their intellectually curious students. The ideal candidate will have some experience in electronics and/or food tech and/or textiles. This position is suitable for NQTs/ECTs and qualified teachers with experience teaching DT within a secondary setting who are self-motivated and keen to progress. This is ideally a full-time position starting in Septemebr, however, a part-time work pattern would also be considered. A permanent position will be offered to the right candidate and Hays education consultants will support you throughout this role.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need to provide the necessary documents required for our compliance process, which includes eligibility to work in the UK, recent teaching or placement references, teaching qualifications, and a recent proof of address. Experience teaching the British National Curriculum is essential. We can help you obtain a new DBS if necessary, which you only pay for once in a role with Hays. Flexibility in this role is desired, including the ability to adapt your teaching techniques to suit the needs of your students. Demonstrating professional conduct at all times is essential, which includes adhering to all safeguarding policies.
