A Defence & Missile client, a trusted partner of the UK Ministry of Defence, are currently seeking an experienced Test Architect to join their team in Stevenage. The selected Candidate will be responsible for defining and managing the requirements for Test Equipment and Test Specifications. This crucial role requires someone with a robust skill set and attention to detail.
This position will require the candidate to work on all facets of the FPGA design and verification cycle with confidence and expertise.
What we're looking for:
- Degree-qualified (or equivalent) candidates with significant experience in FPGA development.
- Proficient in VHDL language and Design Skills. (*Essential)
- Proficient in verification skills using VHDL and SystemVerilog methodologies. (*Essential)
- Extensive experience designing for Xilinx, Intel, or Microsemi FPGAs.
- Experience in professional configuration and documentation of designs.
- Experience working as part of a large multidisciplinary team.
What you'll get to do as a FPGA Design Engineer:
Task: Generate complex FPGA architectures and design implementations using VHDL, Simulink, etc., for devices manufactured by Xilinx, Intel, and Microsemi. This is an essential requirement for the job.
Verify complex FPGA implementations using VHDL and System Verilog/UVM test-bench methodologies. You will also be expected to utilize FPGA design toolsets and Mentor verification tools such as QuestaSim and ModelSim.
In addition, you will need to develop low-level software using C to facilitate FPGA testing and integration with embedded systems. You will be responsible for configuring and documenting designs to a high professional standard.
