Your role:
- Ensure high quality of deliverables for Positioning software
- Propose & implement the architectural solutions in Positioning software to be future ready.
- Build and own architecture, technical roadmap initiatives with focus on customer needs and technological competitiveness, and keeping this outside-in approach during designs
- Own architectural and technical responsibility for the Positioning software in Bangalore
- Author and review requirements and design documents
- Design and deliver the key customer needs as software solution
- Interface with stakeholders for requirements understanding, architecture clarifications etc.
- Actively participate in project estimation, planning and risk management activities.
- Identify and escalate risks on time
- Participate and contribute to roadmap definition and delivery
- Work closely with the System Architect / Product Architect to identify & answer important product/solution questions through prototypes or solutions
- Drive technical excellence and quality improvements across the team
- Ensure compliance to the Quality Management System and regulatory requirements
- Contribute to the quality and maintainability of our software stack which has to be maintained for a long time (10+ years).
You're the right fit if:
- Bachelor/Master of Engineering in the field of Computer Science/ Electronics and Communication or equivalent
- 18+ years related work experience and at least 8 years exp. with System SW having experience working on both front-end and back-end technologies.
- Strong knowledge and experience in Object Oriented Design and Development
- Strong knowledge in Design patterns.
- Strong knowledge of Linux RT and Advanced C++
- Good experience working in Embedded software
- Healthcare domain knowledge with experience in Diagnostic or Interventional X-Rays
- Experience in Embedded software development
- Strong knowledge of all phases of the SDLC
- Familiarity with global healthcare regulations and interpretation
- Expertise in development, testing and debugging skills
- Strong abstraction, analytical and problem solving skills
- Experience with software development methodologies such as agile (SAFE), scrum and the V-model
- Ability to analyze the root cause of a problem and deliver evidence for the root cause and it side effects.
- Ability to find existing (legacy) code a positive challenge.
- Extremely good communication and presentation skills
- Technical mentorship
- Fast learner. Ability to grasp key concepts quickly with minimal or no supervision
- Ability to take ownership of team goals and deliver with quality and within required timeline
- Ability to innovate and foster innovation
- Personality skills to collaborate with colleagues from different teams/levels and think across functional borders
- A lean/pragmatic attitude who can drive change and continuously seeks improvements and ways to reduce ‘waste
