Springfield Primary School is a non-denominational school serving the community of Springfield in Linlithgow. It is part of the Linlithgow Academy High School cluster. The roll of the school is 339 with pupils organised into thirteen classes. Bonnytoun ELC is located on the school grounds in a separate building, and provides early learning and child care for children aged 2-5 years. The roll of the ELC is 72 children over the course of the week.
The senior leadership team currently comprises the Head Teacher, Depute Head Teacher and two Principal Teachers. In addition to thirteen class teachers, there is a team of pupil support workers, a Support for Learning teacher and specialist provision for digital, STEM and music. The school office is staffed by an administrative assistant and a clerical assistant. In Bonnytoun Nursery, staffing currently comprises of two early years officers, eight nursery nurses and four pupil support workers.
Springfield Primary School has earned a very good reputation within the community and is well supported by the Parent Council and the wider parent forum. The Parent Council works in close partnership with the school and provides support in identifying areas for improvement. There are well developed, supportive partnerships with local groups, businesses, church and a local day care centre
