Brook Street have a fantastic opportunity to work within the Basildon Crown Court to join their busy fast paced department.

We are recruiting for Admin Officer, this role will be taking on various duties - you must have great attention to detail, be able to work in a fast pace environment and good IT skills.

The key purpose of the role is to provide administrative support to HMCTS.

Our client HM Courts & Tribunals Service (HMCTS) is an agency of the Ministry of Justice. HMCTS provides administrative support for the legal system across England and Wales, ensuring justice works for everyone.

Pay - £11.59 ph to 11.88 per hour
Location - Basildon
FULL TIME HOURS
Mon - Fri, 37 hrs pw
Temporary role - 3 months with the view to extend


Main duties will include:

- Call Handling - managing the telephone help desk for the courts
- Collating and analysing complex information or data, regular usage of Excel.
- Processing of applications, fee accounting and cashier duties, processing orders, IT data input
- Overseeing administrative procedures and processes
- Liaison between Courtroom, judiciary, public
- Processing correspondence, processing orders, IT data input
- Acting as an administrative liaison with internal and / or external sources
- Preparing routine correspondence

Typical qualifications and experience:
- 5 GCSE's at grade C or above or equivalent (including English Language or equivalent)
- NVQ Business Administration Level 2 (or suitable clerical experience)
- Good communication skills, both oral and written
- All offers are subject to 3 years of referencing checks and a DBS.

Accurately produce reports, correspondence, and manuals from a variety of sources including material from manuscripts within agreed timescales. Work without supervision and ensure urgent situations are addressed swiftly. Ensure workload is managed and prioritised appropriately. Establish and maintain electronic and manual filing systems. Input and manipulate data into computer databases, creating reports from electronic systems. Use of AI Applications for this role should be written by the applicant.
