As a Air Conditioning Equipment Mechanic Leader, you will perform the following duties:
- Sets work priorities, and demonstrates proper work and safety procedures, installs new split and package HVAC systems; diagnoses and repairs electrical problems, replacing compressors, condenser fans, blower wheels, bearings, and other HVAC system components; uses plans and blueprints to locate and repair HVAC system mechanical, electric/electronic components.
- Provides expertise in various HVAC system technologies, including the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of specialized systems and equipment.
- Develops and implements preventative maintenance programs for building HVAC systems, ensuring the reliability and longevity of equipment and infrastructure.
- Leads HVAC projects, providing technical guidance and advice to other departments, contractors, and external stakeholders. - Performs advanced troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve complex HVAC system issues, analyze system failures, and recommend innovative solutions.
- Develops and reviews HVAC project specifications, ensuring accuracy and adherence to applicable codes and standards, and coordinates with other professionals to develop comprehensive project plans.
- Provides technical guidance and oversight for HVAC projects performed by contractors, ensuring work quality, adherence to deadlines, and compliance with project specifications and regulations.
