You will assist the Hydrotherapy team by managing and booking Hydrotherapy clinic appointments. This will include checking patients in at reception, directing them to the changing room, assisting with the removal of shoes and socks if needed. You will prepare the pool area for the sessions and may be required to provide minimal personal assistance to patients. You will be provided with full training, to use the hoist to assist patients into the water. The postholder will also be fully trained to enter the pool in an emergency, to assist the therapist, if necessary. You will be working as part of a close-knit team, who provide excellent customer care. This may include communication with distressed and anxious patients and relatives. You will provide professional, efficient and effective administrative support to the Therapy teams, with the possibility of providing administrative support/cover, as required, to MSK Physiotherapy. This is an essential role and you must be organised, self-motivated and forward thinking with excellent customer service skills. It is important that you are empathetic towards patients using the service and can remain calm under pressure. You will be assertive and be able to multi-task while dealing with a high volume of patients in reception. Knowledge of medical terminology would also be an advantage. PA to Headteacher

Start date: ASAP until the end of December with view to extension.

We are looking for PA to provide comprehensive and confidential executive support to the Headteacher of an Academy based in Exeter.

Duties include:

• Proactive management of the Head-teacher's diary and associated logistics to ensure efficient organisation

• Effective and sensitive management of incoming and outgoing communications to/from the Head-teacher's office.

• Representing the Headteacher with school and Trust staff, parents, students, and external agencies, including receiving visitors on behalf of the Headteacher.

• Organising and taking minutes of all meetings led by the Headteacher, including leadership meetings, HR meetings and inter-agency meetings.

• Drafting, preparing and circulating documents on behalf of the Headteacher.

• Being first point of contact for callers and visitors, and for school situations requiring attention from a member of the Leadership Team.

• Administration of student records.

• In consultation with the Headteacher, organising programmes and logistics for external visits to the school, including audits and inspections.

• Responding to Freedom of Information requests made to the school.

• Receiving or acknowledging formal complaints made to the Headteacher, and coordinating or drafting responses, in consultation with the Headteacher and the School Complaints Coordinator. Supporting the Headteacher in any safeguarding matters.

• Liaising with the Clerk to the Governors in preparing for Local Governing Body meetings and in facilitating an effective communication between the Headteacher and the Chair of Governors.

• In consultation with the Leadership Team, coordinating the production of the yearly Staff Handbook and school calendar.

• Supporting the Headteacher in the monitoring of staff performance and appraisal.

• Maintaining confidential electronic and other filing systems linked to the Head-teacher's office.

• Contributing to the organisation and delivery of parent/community events as required.

• Undertaking any other duties or functions which generally support the work of the Headteacher, as required. Where necessary being flexible to respond to requests outside of working hours
