This is a full-time, office-based role in Reading, Berkshire.

  Of working with hazardous chemicals would be an advantage (majority of customers are outside the UK)

Roles and Responsibilities

• Processing sales orders and liaising with customers from placement of order through to delivery
• Working with our production manager to plan the production schedule based on the lead times for customer orders
• Organising the logistics for the shipment of finished goods to customers
• Working with our onsite laboratory packaging samples and arranging shipment to customers
• Building relationships with customers as most of our business is repeat business
• Customer liaison and troubleshooting
• Building relationships with logistics companies and negotiating the most favourable terms
• Providing sales projection figures for the COO and MD to help with forecasting / production planning
• One direct report
• Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer

This is a full-time, office-based role.Working hours / days : 9am - 5pm with half an hour lunch break Monday to FridayHoliday: 23-day holiday plus statutory Bank HolidaysPension: Company pension after successful completion of probation periodProbation: 3 month probation periodSalary: £38,000 -£45,000 Dependent on experience, qualifications and skill set

Some of the responsibilities include:

• Being responsible for the accurate and timely processing of items in all bank accounts in accordance with financial procedures
• Ensuring accurate and timely completion of bank reconciliations, ensuring the accuracy of the Cash Book and Sales Ledger
• Processing all sales invoices relating to all areas of the business and carrying out the credit control function for all outstanding invoices.
• Working closely with the Income Processing team in fundraising, ensuring that all income is processed to the cash book, and responsible for investigating and resolving any differences.

Your new role
Our client is seeking an experienced Accounts Clerk with a focus on Accounts Payable. The role will be reporting to the Accounts Manager and working in a small and friendly team.
· Managing all aspects of accounts payable.
· Processing of invoices, including matching, batching and coding of invoices in Sage.
· Handling all accounts payable queries
· Daily and monthly bank reconciliations, and processing company credit cards
· Creating all supplier payments and loading into bank for approval.
· Generate sales invoices in word and process in Sage.
· Working closely with the other members of Finance team and Operations team
· Assisting with month-end and year-end activities

What you\'ll need to succeed

• Previous experience of working within an accounts department and specifically Accounts Payable experience.

· Recent experience of working on Sage and understanding of Excel and Word

• High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
• Be able to appropriately deal with all account's enquiries in a responsible and professional manner.

• Marketing experience - ability to write articles for websites, familiar with social media platforms.

• Claimant Personal Injury and Asbestos Disease
• Running intermediate track Personal Injury cases under supervision and some lower value multi-track cases
• Running asbestosis and pleural thickening cases undertaking supervision
• Assisting senior fee earners with high value multitrack personal injury and mesothelioma cases
• Submitting Applications via the Diffuse Mesothelioma Payment and Turner & Newall Scheme
