The purpose of this position is to provide a full range of accounts payables duties using the Air Force Services Financial Management System (AFSFMS) accounts payable module. Performs the full range of accounts payable duties using double-entry accrual accounting methods and reconciliation as an Accounting Technician using AFSFMS. Incumbent typical work assignments may include the following:

• Provides expert advice and assistance to the Scientific Analysis (SA) Director, Laboratory Director and Deputy Laboratory Directors in Hawaii and Nebraska.

• Serves as the Contracting Officer's Technical Representative regarding contracts that pertain to the services rendered by external accrediting bodies that include annual fees for compliance monitoring of the SA Directorate and fees for accreditation inspections and annual surveillance visits as well as laboratory support services contracts.

• Is the Lead Security Manager for the SA Directorate and liaises with DPAA Security Directorate officials. Incumbent is the Point of Contact with the DPAA Logistics Directorate regarding aspects of security for the laboratory.
