Key Responsibilities:

1. General Ledger Maintenance:
   • Record and review journal entries in the general ledger.
   • Maintain and update all financial records in compliance with company policies and regulations.
2. Account Reconciliation:
   • Perform regular reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.
   • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in accounts and provide explanations for variances.
3. Financial Reporting:
   • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
   • Assist with internal reporting and provide financial data for management analysis.
4. Month-End and Year-End Close:
   • Participate in the month-end and year-end closing process.
   • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting by coordinating with other departments.
5. Audit Support:
   • Provide supporting documents and respond to auditor inquiries during internal and external audits.
   • Implement audit recommendations to improve financial processes and controls.
6. Compliance and Best Practices:
   • Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) or IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards).
   • Keep up-to-date with accounting standards and regulations.
7. Other Duties:
   • Assist in process improvements for financial operations.
   • Support ad hoc financial projects as required.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or a related field, with a strong understanding of general ledger functions. Experience in tech/gaming industry is a plus.
• Skills:
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Collects deposits daily from activities as a courier along with making change for customers and processing bank deposits to the local bank deposits to the local bank.
Performs double-entry accrual accounting work in order to maintain a combination of journals and ledgers.
Examines, verifies, and analyzes a variety of documents to determine their mathematical correctness, validity, and clerical accuracy.
Prepares reports monthly, quarterly, and annually, reflecting the financial condition of activities services by the accounting unit.

• Provides professional accounting advice and assistance to supported organizations and lower graded accountants and/or accounting technicians in the resolution of diverse, complex, or controversial accounting problems.
• Interprets, develops, adapts, modifies, or integrates accounting and financial policies and procedures.
• Assists in the implementation of new procedures or policies to ensure compliance with established financial accounting requirements.
• Identifies problem areas and determines actions required to improve operating program effectiveness, ensure the propriety of accounting transaction processing, and maintain the integrity of accounting records and financial information.
• Provides technical advice and training to technicians and program managers regarding the processing of accounting transactions or reconciliation of accounting/financial reports.
• Analyzes reports for data integrity, completeness, consistency, and conformance with regulatory directives/procedures and correction of errors prior to final reports release.
• Examines internal controls systems and analyzes/evaluates effectiveness, adequacy, and interrelationships within/among segments of the system and other segments within the organization.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for timely and accurate preparation of financial accounting data in a variety of areas. It is essential that this candidate is reliable and trustworthy in order to best support the accounting team.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable invoices – via the scanning software and SAP
• Ensure accounts payable invoices are accurate, properly coded and approved by relevant cost center manager or matched against purchase orders
• Reconcile Vendor Statement of accounts and follow up on missing invoices/erroneous items
• Proactively monitors mailboxes ensuring that supplier and business partner queries are responded to on a timely basis
• Posting of customer payments and other cash receipts (i.e. fund transfers, etc.) and releasing of weekly payment details to vendors
• Responsible for customer invoices and monitoring of receivable balances
• Ensure timely Intercompany billing and reconciliation
• Prepare monthly journal entries
• Assist in Year End closing and preparation of audit schedules and requirements
• Other ad-hoc accounting projects or duties as and when assigned

Requirements

• Minimum Diploma in Accounting.
• Basic accounting knowledge is required.
• Able to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills with an ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively and meet agreed deadlines.
• High attention to detail and accuracy as data entry is a critical component of role.
• Positive and enthusiastic attitude combined with an ability to take initiative and work autonomously with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to be flexible and dedicated to meeting reporting deadlines.
• Ability to communicate and work well with others in a team environment.
• Good knowledge of Excel.
• SAP experience is an advantage.
