Head of Management Accounting and Financial Reporting
The role

The Head of Management Accounting and Financial Reporting will lead the management accounting function and be responsible for:
- l fulfilling all aspects of the annual accounting cycle
- l co-ordinating all financial and statutory reporting, including compiling the financial statements
- l ensure that high quality financial advice and support is provided to each directorate and supports the GMC's strategic and operational needs.
The person
We are looking for someone who has full membership of an accounting body recognised by the Financial Reporting Council, has excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills, and has significant experience within a management accounting function. As the scope of the role is wide ranging, experience as a Financial Controller or similar position would be beneficial.
We work with doctors, patients, and other stakeholders to support good, safe patient care across the UK. We set the standards doctors and those who train them need to meet and help them achieve them. If there are concerns these standards may not be met or that public confidence in doctors may be at risk, we can investigate, and take action if needed.
