Are you looking for a position that will allow you to gain an understanding of all of the functions carried out by a council for its residents?
This could be anything from dealing with graffiti to running complex finance systems to monitoring the possibility of floods in the area.
Are you keen to learn?
This is a 3-year fixed term audit apprentice position, where you will receive structured external training towards a qualification and in-house training on how to audit different types of local council services working with an excellent, enthusiastic team.
We are looking for a candidate to commence a level 7 apprenticeship in Internal Audit.
The apprenticeship
As part of the level 7 programme, apprentices will be required to complete the Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) qualification followed by three case study exams that lead to Chartered Internal Auditor status (CMIIA). We are the South West London Audit Partnership, hosted by the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames and Wandsworth Council. Our shared Internal Audit service supports five councils: Richmond, Wandsworth, Merton, Sutton and Kingston.

Who we are looking for
We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and committed graduate or equivalent to join our team, although we will also consider applicants with some internal audit experience who are keen to progress by obtaining a professional internal audit qualification. Applicants should be keen to learn, have excellent written and communication skills. Those with an interest in statistics, maths, or data analytics. would find this position very interesting.
