Accounting Intern – Kacific
Kacific is a next-generation broadband satellite operator, headquartered in Singapore. Its purpose is to make a rapid and lasting difference to the people of Asia Pacific by providing high-quality, low-cost satellite broadband connectivity that will enable critical healthcare, education, and government services to reach unserved and underserved rural communities.
Founded in 2013 by a core team of senior satellite professionals, Kacific is backed by a group of investors with global telecommunications and infrastructure experience. Our first Ka-band high throughput satellite, Kacific1, was launched in 2019 to stream high-speed, low-cost, ultra-reliable broadband to rural and suburban areas of the Pacific and South East Asia.
Kacific is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Intern to join our Finance Team for a 3-month internship. The intern will assist with day-to-day accounting tasks, focusing on revenue management, invoicing, reconciliation, and general accounting duties. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment and work alongside experienced professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assist with the preparation, verification, and posting of revenue entries.
· Support the invoicing process, including generating, reviewing, and distributing invoices to clients.
· Perform account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy between internal records and bank statements.
· Help maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper documentation of transactions.
· Collaborate with the accounting team to manage accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments.
· Assist in preparing financial reports, statements, and analysis as needed.
· Participate in month-end and quarter-end closing processes.
- Support in ad hoc accounting tasks and special projects as assigned.
Requirements:
· Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
· Strong attention to detail and ability to handle data accurately.
· Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting software is a plus.
· Strong organizational and time management skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
