Job title: Membership Account Manager
Salary: From £21,840 per annum dependant on skills and experience
Based at: Nottingham (Chesterfield, Derby or Leicester also considered) with agile working. Additional travel required
Contract: Permanent, full time (35 hours per week)
1. WHY THE POST EXISTS
Do you enjoy building and maintaining relationships with businesses? Can you put the customer at the heart of what you do? Do you have experience in coordinating informative and engaging workshops? If so, you could be our next Membership Account Manager.
In this role you will work alongside the membership function to create and maintain high-quality communications and relationships with members. You must be comfortable interacting with members by phone, video call, in writing and occasionally in-person to ensure that your member accounts access and experience excellent service(s) from the Chamber and therefore want to remain in membership.
This team member will also organise, generate bookings for and deliver engaging face-to-face and online member focused events every month, they will bring passion and confidence to host and work with/showcase venues.
2. THE KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
- Provide an excellent level of customer service to all members, in particular the given portfolio.
- Promote the benefits of Chamber membership which includes a wide range of events, webinars, services and financial savings.
- Engage with sales campaigns throughout the year to promote events which feature in the annual programme of the Chamber.
- Record all interactions accurately and succinctly on the Chamber’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
- Positively contribute to key performance indicators including sales and retention targets.
- Create and maintain quality interactions with members leading to greater retention rates.
- Communicate effectively and consistently with business contacts by phone, video call, in writing and occasionally in-person.
- Successfully organise and deliver member focused events including hosting every month, virtually and face-to-face, ensuring delegate satisfaction.
- Generate suitable bookings for member events and maximise engagement including attendance.
- Occasional out of hours work will be required (i.e., evenings and early mornings).
3. IDEALLY APPLICANTS WILL POSSESS
- Relevant and demonstrable experience of managing a varied portfolio of businesses.
- Experience of working with a diverse range of businesses – different sectors and sizes.
- Can engage with businesses and able to change approach depending on the circumstances.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Tech savvy – in particular with Microsoft office and cloud-based applications such as CRMs.
- Highly motivated and a self starter.
- Good use of English, in writing and verbally.
