My client is a reputable 5 Partner firm of chartered accountants in central Guildford. A new opportunity has become available to join their audit team at senior level. They have a varied client base including UK brands and international companies, groups and limited companies.

Your new role
You will:

• Be auditor in charge, whether on site or via remote audit, ensuring work is completed by deadline and within budget
• Report directly to the Audit Manager
• Assist is the mentoring and training of juniors in the team.
• Assist with client engagement meetings
• Be involved heavily with planning, budgeting, completion and review
• Involved in complex accounts, such as groups with multinational subsidiaries
• Be assisted with personal and professional development in order to reach the next level in your career

What you'll need to succeed
You will be ACA or ACCA qualified or equivalent, or in the final stages of your professional qualifications. You will have experience of leading audits and all stages of the audit cycle from planning through to completion.

What you'll get in return
You will receive a salary dependent on experience up to £55,000. Flexible working options are available in a hybrid working pattern with two or three days working at home. Further benefits on application.

Your new role
- Planning audit assignments, identifying key risks, assessing how to test them, assessing and reviewing the budgets through to completing the audit tests for high risk areas.- Leading audits, supervising, delegating and reviewing the work of trainees.
- Delivering information to clients in a timely manner whilst displaying in-depth client and industry knowledge.
- Monitoring your changeability and your assignment budgets proactively.
- Developing specialist sector knowledge and keeping abreast of industry developments.
- Ensure compliance with internal and external standards, rules, and requirements.
- Deal directly with clients in person and on the phone, constantly building strong relationships.
- Identify and understand clients' needs, including sometimes providing initial solutions to client challenges, then communicating these needs to the manager/partner.

What you'll need to succeed
- Previous stable experience of auditing and year-end / statutory accounts within an accountancy practice- Qualified ACCA / ACA
- You will need an aptitude for analytical thinking and good attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Your new role
- Planning, execution, and completion of audits reporting to managers and partners.
- Preparation of accounts, reports and other assignments as required.
- Co-ordinate planning with clients, including liaising with relevant departments within the firm.
- Communicating and building relationships with clients and related third parties.
- Business development including promoting the firm and its services to the existing client base and prospects.
What you\'ll need to succeed
- ACA / ACCA Part Qualified
- Recent experience in Audit and Assurance within an accountancy practice
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills with senior staff and clients
- Motivated to take responsibility of the role and maintain a high level of quality service across
