GENERAL FUNCTION:

Works with Default & Collections Management to organize the delivery of files for various individual loan audit requests.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Attend audit meetings and execute on document requests from staff and LOB owners.
• Work from checklists to prepare files for audit or quality review.
• Make copies, ensure required documents are included, etc.
• Responsible for preparation, quality check and delivery of regulatory file submissions in accordance with agency requirements and company standards.
• Organize and maintain file components associated with a regulatory audit. This may include, but not exclusive to, setting up file templates, scanning, printing and indexing.
• Responsible for all aspects of the file submission process and/or submission of file components for internal review and signoff, and for submission to regulatory authorities. This includes all operational tasks including formatting, editing, reviewing, publishing and archiving (paper and electronic) as applicable.
• Ensure and confirm that all documentation and records are available for review and are in order. This may include but is not limited to the foreclosure and bankruptcy process.
• Communicate effectively with clients via phone, email and client websites to ensure all information needed is received to expedite the audit process.
• Random spot checks of files pulled for audit for accuracy.
• Create inventory list of items delivered to audit requestor; track delivery and receipt.
• Organize delivery of requested docs, files, etc. to Audit or Quality Teams.
• Perform random monthly checks of files for accuracy and content of prepared file.
• Report results of audits, troubled files, etc.
• Identify gaps of audit process to prepare for next audit.
• Enter and retrieve data from Central File Room and foreclosure tracking systems as needed.
• Create and maintain tracking spreadsheets, certification tracking and exception tracking.
• Pull and certify files for review according to pertinent investor requirements.
• Retrieve notes from system notes to augment file documentation as requested.
• Prepare original document for delivery to the collections area so foreclosure proceedings can begin.
• Prepared documents and files for image processing when necessary.
• Assist in cataloging documentation for imaging.
• Operate various office and imaging machines.
• Perform general housekeeping in the department and in file room.
• Meet and maintain production standards for File room activities.
• Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

MIMIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• High school diploma or equivalent. (Some college preferred).
• Strong organization skills and attention to detail with the ability to prioritize.
• Prior PC experience to include moderate to advanced Excel, Word and Access.
• Ability to work under moderate supervision; self-motivated.
• 1-2 year relevant experience; familiarity with mortgage servicing documents.
• Must be able to work efficiently in DokTrak, Ace, Mortgage Serv, UniFi, and Nautilus.
• Good verbal and written communication, spelling, grammar and typing skills.
• A general expertise of all documents that would be requested by internal and external agencies for compliance reviews.

GENERAL FUNCTION:

Experienced manager with primary responsibility for the management of one or more functional accounting teams (functional accounting teams may include LOB accounting, Shared Services, etc). Additionally responsible for managing assignments involving accounting projects, providing oversight in the development and maintenance of accurate and detailed accounting records, and preparation of financial statements and specialized reports.

• Responsible for managing team assignments associated with Bancorp acquisitions, divestitures and systems conversions.
• Responsible for responding to inquiries from auditors, regulators and management associated with subject matters related to their team’s area of responsibility.
• Establishes & fosters working relationships with peers and management within customer and functional areas including LOBs and Bancorp Finance.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics required. MBA and or other certification (CPA, CMA, etc.) strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years accounting or related experience. Banking or Public Accounting experience a plus.
• Previous Management experience required.
• Proficient in advanced spreadsheet applications.

Senior financial decision maker with primary responsibility for the Bancorp's centralized reconciliation process. Manages specialized and complex processes and assignments to drive the development, implementation, and monitoring of reconciliation processes and controls. • Oversees the reconciliations for all transaction-based accounts, including those used in Central and Investment Operations, Retail and other lines of business, as well as for all systems application accounts. Responsible for providing strategic direction, developing a scalable environment, building and developing a high performing team, and catalyzing organizational change through process improvements.
• Sets cross-functional objectives and priorities related to reconciliation controls. Sets the technical strategy within Centralized Reconciliation given enterprise and business objectives. Is accountable for the impacts of technical direction on other functional areas across the enterprise.
• Reduces financial risk by directing the design and performance of reconciliation and by promoting clearing and correction of process defects. Represents Centralized Reconciliations at the Senior Reconciliation Risk Committee.

GENERAL FUNCTION:

Fifth Third Bank’s Audit Division is responsible for performing independent, objective assurance activities for the Bank’s key business processes, products, services and technologies, as well as governance, oversight and monitoring functions of management and support functions. 

TEAM DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking an individual to join our growing Internal Audit team supporting Commercial processes. This role will be responsible for a range of audit work across the entire Commercial business line.  The ideal candidate will have knowledge of or interest in building a deep understanding of Commercial Credit and Corporate & Investment Banking products and operations as well as front, middle and back-office activities. 

In addition, the candidate will need to exhibit strong technical and communication skills necessary to navigate a highly complex environment and cultivate strong partnerships with key stakeholders. Team members should maintain or be willing to actively work to pursue the Certified Information Security Auditor (CISA) or other relevant certifications.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The Audit Project Manager I conducts end-to-end business process audits for various business/functional areas within the Bank.  Audits are performed in a team environment under the guidance of the Audit Manager.  Responsibilities include developing and executing audit planning, fieldwork, reporting and wrap-up activities on each engagement in accordance with established standards.  Individuals in this role may work as an individual contributor or start to lead engagements with 1-4 auditors. In some instances, may act as deep subject matter expert on a key area or function of the Bank.

• Ensure execution of all audit activities in the planning, testing, reporting and wrap up phases in compliance with the Audit Division's methodology /standards and within the timeframes to support department metrics.
• Collaborate with Audit team members to plan audit projects, develop risk and control assessments, develop work programs and other deliverables of audit work.
• Lead the audit team in documenting business processes and technology management processes related to the entity being audited. Execute testing of controls to assess adequacy of control design and operational effectiveness in managing risk.
• Demonstrate and apply strong project management skills. Ensure accountability and high quality by directing daily progress of fieldwork, informing managers and clients of audit status, and supervising staff performance, when necessary.

• Use knowledge of risk and control concepts and industry trends to identify control deficiencies and recommendation process improvement ideas. Lead audit and regulatory issue follow-up processes.

• Review audit workpapers and provide coaching feedback on work prepared by staff auditors.

• Prepare audit report draft; ensuring that all areas of audit process and results have been addressed and documented in accordance with defined standards. 

• Communicate information to management through periodic update meetings, presentations, and internal audit reports.
• Establish, foster and maintain working relationships with peers and supervisory management within the business line and cross-functional lines to support an effective workflow and continuous communications.  Deliver value to internal and external customer.
• Assist in the identification and continuous monitoring of risks and other potential exposures to the Bancorp. Assist in the execution of continuous monitoring activities that effectively assesses changing risk and the impact on internal controls and planned audit activities.
• Develop line of business and industry knowledge base and expertise to keep current on existing and emerging issues; apply this knowledge for the benefit of the Bank's risk-based audit program.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Begin to lead and develop staff auditors to ensure optimal performance in meeting the Audit Division's goals and objectives. Assist in development of peers and staff by participating in, and leading, mentoring and education programs that give employees exposure to audit processes, business knowledge, and technology. Responsible for the day-to-day supervision of assigned staff auditors, including active coaching, optimum utilization, identification of challenging work assignments and mentoring. Provide timely and effective feedback throughout the audit.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• 4+ years Fifth Third Audit or large public accounting firm experience; or 5+ years of general industry audit experience required. Supervisory experience required. Banking or financial services experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree required, focus on accounting, finance, management information systems, computer sciences, economics, communications or similar discipline is preferred.
•  Professional certification preferred, such as CRCM or other relevant certifications.
• Proficient with MS-Windows and other related office applications.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
• Demonstrates leadership, coaching and project management skills.
• Must be results and goal oriented, possess sound judgment and ability to apply logical/critical thought processes when developing business solutions.
