Your new role
As a Primary PE Instructor, you'll play a crucial role in promoting physical education and healthy lifestyles among the next generation. Role should aim to fulfil our Riding School’s (RS) vision to promote equestrian sports and raise participation at all levels (beginners to high performance).

To work with our team of Instructors in the management of our Riding School which offers public riding as well as livery yard with competition facilities.

To develop and scale our training program for Riders and Horses at all levels for our Riding School.

To develop and scale our training program for our National Coaching development program (including Para dressage).

To manage the inventory of feed, bedding and supplements.

Job Duties

Deliver high quality lessons and equestrian activities for our Riding School (RS)

Manage our RS horses’ condition and their schooling for lessons.

Organising and handling of horse care matters alongside Riding Executive.

Manage and report on daily operational matters to the management team (including GM).

Manage and work alongside Riding Executive in schedule, filing and records management.

Complete instructors’ administration task which includes submitting Monthly report in relation to operational matter to Riding Executive.

Upgrade staff competency and qualifications in riding and stable management.

Organising and handling of daily stable matters relating to grooms, vet care ensuring horse and facilities are kept in condition.

Skills & Requirement

Equestrian Australia, FEI or BHS Intermediate Coaching certification or other equivalent with at least 5years of relevant experience.

Experience with coaching riders at Concours de Dressage International (CDI) level (CDI) international competition levels, or have competed at such level of international competition.

Possess in depth experience with high standards of horse care and schooling them to rideable level for our RS riders.

Possess good interpersonal skills, enthusiastic and positive attitude in all aspect of this role.

To have passion for horses, equestrian sports and coaching at any levels of riders.

Able to speak and deliver lessons in English.

To be a Registered with National Registry of Coaches (NROC) with SportSG or working towards such certification.

The Clinical Instructor will be responsible for providing clinical education and training to nursing students and newly hired nurses within St Luke’s Eldercare. This role involves planning, implementing, and evaluating educational programs to ensure that all nursing staff meet the high standards of care expected in Singapore's healthcare system.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Clinical Education & Training:

• Develop, implement, and evaluate clinical training programs for nursing students and new nurses.
• Conduct hands-on training sessions, simulations, and classroom lectures on various nursing topics.
• Supervise and mentor nursing students during their clinical rotations, ensuring they gain practical experience and apply theoretical knowledge effectively.
• Provide guidance and support to newly hired nurses during their orientation period.

2. Curriculum Development:

• Collaborate with educational institutions and healthcare professionals to design and update nursing curricula.
• Ensure that the training programs align with the latest clinical practices, nursing standards, and regulations in Singapore.

3. Clinical Competency Assessment:

• Assess the clinical skills and competencies of nursing students and new nurses.
• Provide constructive feedback and recommend additional training or support as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of student and staff performance, evaluations, and progress.

4. Quality Assurance:

• Ensure that all educational activities comply with the healthcare facility’s policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to clinical education and patient care.

5. Professional Development:

• Stay updated with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in nursing education and clinical instruction.
• Attend relevant workshops, seminars, and conferences to enhance teaching and clinical skills.

6. Collaboration:

• Work closely with the nursing management team to identify training needs and develop strategies to address them.
• Liaise with external educational partners, such as universities and training institutes, to coordinate clinical placements and educational programs.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and relevant post-basic advanced certificates. A Master’s degree in Nursing or Nursing Education is preferred.
• Licensure: Registered Nurse with a valid Singapore Nursing Board (SNB) license.
• Experience:
• Minimum of 5 years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a teaching or mentoring role.
• Experience in a variety of clinical settings, including acute care, long-term care, or community health.
• Certifications: Nurse Education (e.g., CNE) or equivalent is preferred. Advanced training certificates (e.g., ACLP) are an advantage.
• Skills:

Local Singaporean and PR Permanent Resident only. No two ways about it!

Our mobile team of Swimming Instructors is looking for suitable candidates to do what we enjoy doing, Swimming teaching. This job is extremely tough as you need to be under the hot sun and be in the pool with the students for demonstration, safety reasons, and command and control. It requires loads of traveling from condo to condo. Handling kid's emotional changes, during the class, as your pre-training plan will need to be changed drastically to plan ad-hoc.

As we are building a team of new Swimming Instructors. You have to forsake some time for Quality training and senior Instructors for attachments. We wouldn’t sabotage ourselves and throw you onto the battlefield without proper training and live stages.

We don’t need Competitive Swimmers as our Swim Instructors. As our comprehensive training, we can train anyone from a non-swimmer to clear the local Swim Safer 2.0 Gold standard within the first month of training. Within a year or less, you will be required to clear the UK program that requires you to swim 400m in 8 minutes as part of the Swim school requirements. Yes, you are not wrong! It’s a tradition for us, just like clearing the N.S. IPPT. We want you to be proud of your achievement and able to do the same for all our students.

ABOUT THE ROLE

You will join the Programmes and Services department as a Programme Instructor in both outdoors and indoor settings.

Your key roles will include the following:

(a) PROGRAMME DEVELOPMENT AND IMPLEMENTATION

- Research, plan and conduct animals-assisted learning programmes and services, serving different groups of beneficiaries.

- Expected to apply assessment frameworks and innovative approaches in programmes design.

- Coordinate with schools, partners and stakeholders to coordinate logistical matters.

- Perform programme administrative duties including beneficiaries’ progress reports, data collection for evaluation measures and reports.

- Coordinate with Volunteer Manager to tap on volunteers to support programmes where needed.

- Attend equine-assisted learning trainings as assigned while on job.

- Contribute to advocacy and research work related to our work, where possible

- Organise events and activities for EQUAL’s partners or beneficiaries.

(b) ANIMALS HANDLING

- Learn the fundamentals of animals management including horse handling and demonstrate basic proficiency in handling horses during programmes.

- Provide operational assistance by helping out at EQUAL stables when needed or assigned.

- Assist Animals Welfare and Operations Team with husbandry duties before or after programme.

This role may require to work on weekends and public holidays if there are programmes or events. You will report to the Programme Manager and work closely with the Programmes & Services team members. You are to support other ad-hoc activities or projects and to assist in other activities/ works as instructed by your Reporting Officer.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

Preferred Experience

- 1 to 2 years of relevant working experience with students from primary to secondary schools settings, disabilities groups or elderlies in community settings.

- Prior experience with horses is beneficial but not necessary.

- This position is required to liaise with the elderlies in multi-cultural community settings. Thus, the ability to converse in mother tongues and dialects are required.

- Fresh graduates are welcomed.

Technical Competencies

- Educational and professional background in social work, counselling and psychology will be an advantage.

- Familiarity with evidence-based framework.

- Facilitation skills in group work.

- Computer proficiency.
