- You will serve as the Undersea Warfare Communications Technical Project Manager, Code 349.
- You will be responsible for the planning, budgeting, and managing the execution of all tasking for USW Communications systems.
- You will provide technical advice to top level Navy management and technical personnel, other agencies, and private organizations.
- You will serve on Navy, interagency, and technical society panels and committees of national or international scope.
- You will be involved with the execution, direction, and success of major projects, systems development efforts, and research or technology initiatives that have great significance to the activity and agency’s needs.
- You will act as the senior manager for the USW Comms Program, responsible for technical execution of NUWC’s Engineering Agent roles, which includes design, system integration, test/evaluation, logistics/maintenance of USW Comms systems/facilities.
- You will serve as the primary recognized technical point of contact for the cross-agency and contractor team that supports USW communications systems.
- You will be responsible for the day-to-day technical oversight of the NUWC USW comms technical team, which includes a diverse group of government and contractor engineers, scientists and technicians working in the area of submarine communications.
- You will mentor the USW Communications Deputy Technical Program Manager (DTPM) on day-to-day project interactions and senior level thought processes to enhance development of technical and strategic thinking for inclusion in Big Navy Roadmaps.
- You will prepare briefs, action item responses, and technical white papers as required, and participate in routine and emergent staff and sponsor meetings, as the recognized expert and technical POC.
