The Program Manager (Design and Print) coordinates the work of DCBE's three visual information specialists and one of DCBE's consumer education specialists to plan, budget for, and carry out the design and print program. The Program Manager also serves as an advisor to the management and staff of various organizations within the FTC on all matters related to DCBE's graphic design and print program, oversees the coordination of these activities with external organizations, and represents the Division in Agency and public forums. Works with senior Bureau management to develop and implement the strategy and operational plans for the design and print program.

In addition, the Program Manager:

* Manages and has complete oversight for the design and print program, which has a combined annual budget of nearly $2 million. Oversees the work of the consumer education specialist that also serves as the Division COR to manage contractors and contracts, which are an integral part of the design and print program. These activities include overseeing inter-agency agreements with GSA's Government Publishing Office (GPO), performing site inspections, engaging as needed with GPO printers and their distribution facility in Pueblo, Colorado, and making recommendations to streamline and improve processes and the program.

* Ensures major management performance objectives are being met, including meeting Government Performance and Results Act (GPRA) measures related to print and distribution; ensuring operations are within budget and comply with division and agency policy; are economical, effective, and efficient; and providing timely, relevant reports that meet internal and external reporting requirements.

* Plans, organizes, reports, and makes decisions related to achieving agency, bureau, and division graphic design and print objectives.

* Manages performance measurement systems and related reporting for accounting, efficiency, and effectiveness. Develops and implements short- and long-term plans and related budgets, systems, policies, and procedures for the design and print program.

* Provides timely and relevant internal and external reports to the appropriate levels of management. These reports provide accountability to demonstrate the achievement of performance objectives.

* Serves as the central division contact for communicating and coordinating with internal and external organizations on graphic design and print program issues (e.g., the U.S. General Services Administration, the Government Publishing Office, many state Attorneys General, and the Commission, including the Bureaus of Consumer Protection and of Competition, the Office of the Executive Director, including FMO, OCASO, and OCIO; the Office of Policy Planning, the Office of Congressional Relations, and the Office of International Affairs). Works to establish and maintain effective working relationships with members of these organizations, among others.

* Oversees the team's use of the print database to gather information regarding print publication and distribution matters and produce reports for management, GPRA, Congress, and other purposes.

* Supervises the work of three visual information specialists and one of the division's consumer education specialists. Additionally, the incumbent collaborates with division management to develop plans for national campaigns, ensuring that the design and print program resources can cover desired print collateral in all the requested languages, and ensuring that the messaging in graphic designs adheres to division policy.

Major duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Provides customer service, information and support of Community Recreation programs and activities. Service to MWR customer includes, but is not limited to: checking patron eligibility to ensure authorized use of recreation facilities, resources and equipment, providing information about activities and program offerings, opening and closing facilities, ordering and restocking supplies, and preparing snack bar menu items or pre-packaged retail items.
• Collects fees from customers associated with sales of tickets, retail and rental items, as well as from classes, trips, and various other Community Recreation programs using Point of Sales (POS) and computer programs.

• Serve as Chief, Water Management Section within Walla Walla District
• Exercise technical and administrative supervision of staff consisting of engineers, scientists, technicians, and student interns, ranging in grade from GS-3 through GS-13.
• Provide support to the following types of projects: large multipurpose hydroelectric, navigation, and flood control dams, fish and wildlife facilities, recreation facilities, planning studies and other civil works projects.
• Lead all Water Management and Water Quality work for the District.

As an Management and Program Analyst, you will perform the following duties:

Law Student Volunteer Interns have the opportunity to promote the Office's mission by working on both criminal and civil cases arising from a wide range of federal laws. The Office does not silo interns. Law Student Volunteer Interns assist with investigations as well as trial and appellate work. They research and write drafts of filings and briefs. They also help prepare for and observe hearings, trials, and appeals on which they are working or in which they are interested.

Law Student Volunteer Interns substantially work in person in our Providence, Rhode Island office weekdays between 9 am and 5 pm. They also may be eligible to request to telework one day a week.

The incumbent serves as a principal technical specialist, team leader or instructor for the Quality Assurance (QA) program. Performs work of broad scope and complexity. Provides the highest organizational level technical support associated with analyzing, designing, developing, installing, repairing, fabricating, maintaining, modifying, or evaluating the most complex system for the which the FAA is responsible. Applies broad experience and comprehensive technical knowledge of assigned disciplines and specialties, an understanding of new technologies and methods, and FAA policies and programs.

Is considered a technical expert within the organization for the installation of equipment and systems into the NAS. Work directly supports the objectives of the organization and the safe and continual operation of the NAS. Contacts are both internal and external. Ensures facility work permits and risk assessments are properly completed and posted.

Recommends training plans for center field personnel to increase their job skills, knowledge and effectiveness. Provides training, mentoring, and guidance and advice to field (installation/construction) personnel on technical and administrative issues. Provides positive quality assurance controls during installation/construction activities to improve quality and minimizing JAI exceptions. Prepares "end of project critiques" to analyze actual performance vs projected performance (e.g. schedule, budget, quality, manpower, etc).

Approximately 90% of the work is performed in a travel status at remote locations.
