Duties:

1. Performs hazard and risk assessment techniques in completing initial incident analysis. The staff audiologist conducts a full range of audiological evaluations to determine the type and degree of hearing loss, determines patients' need for amplification, predicts and measures the effectiveness of amplification, and determines need for and type of rehabilitation and counseling of veterans with hearing loss and their families. The staff audiologist conducts and interprets behavioral, electroacoustic, or electrophysiological methods used to assess hearing, tinnitus, balance and neural system function.

Duties:

• Conduct, plan, and coordinate all clinical and administrative aspects of a full range of services associated with contemporary audiology practice.

• The Mobile Provider iPad Program and the Digital Divide Program are sponsored by the VHA Office of Connected Care (OCC). The Mobile Provider iPad Program provides iPads to Clinicians to use in the day-to-day patient care activities. The Digital Divide Program provides electronic devices to veterans in need, assisting them in communicating with their care providers;
• The incumbent is a point of contact for providers desiring to enroll in the Mobile Provider Program. The incumbent is knowledgeable of OCC's rules governing eligibility for enrollment. Assists providers to navigate the iPad request process. The incumbent assists providers with initial device setup as well as problem solving/troubleshooting device issues;

Screening/Assessment/Diagnosis
The Post 9/11 M2VA Transition and Care Management (TCM) Social Worker independently
evaluates Veterans and family members/significant others situation and arrives at a reasoned
conclusion. Interprets and explains VA's treatment and benefit programs. Provides
comprehensive case management services to Post-911 Veterans referred to the program.

Treatment Planning/Goal Setting
Works with patients and families who are experiencing a variety of psychiatric, medical and
social problems. Independently provides crisis management and develops psychosocial
treatment plans in coordination with interdisciplinary team members.

Supportive Counseling/Education
The incumbent provides the Veteran and as appropriate the Veteran's family, caregiver and /or
significant other with ongoing supportive counseling.

Resources and Referrals

from active duty.

Advocacy

Outreach

The AMSA:
