We know our people are what make HDC great and recognise how important a healthy work–life balance is. We are looking for two people to work up to 37 hours per week, but if you are looking for part-time hours, we are very open to having a conversation around flexible working in line with service delivery.
About the role
Are you looking for an exciting role that allows you to make a real difference in your community and where no two days are the same?
We are seeking passionate and committed individuals who will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and fair use of our car parks.
You will be patrolling several locations to ensure compliance with parking regulations, and where necessary, issue charge notices. You will be required to carry out checks and basic maintenance to the systems and equipment within the car parks.
The position requires someone who can work outside in all weathers, work individually and as part of a team.
We have 1 full-time role available and welcome applications for part-time.
The full-time salary is £23,010 per annum working 37 hours, 5 days per week including alternate Saturdays.
Saturday working is payable at an enhanced hourly rate. A full-time employee working alternate Saturdays would receive approximately £1,100 additional per annum.

About you

To be successful in this role, you must be aged 18 years or over and hold a full manual car driving licence.
An offer of employment is conditional upon having the right to work in the UK. Huntingdonshire District Council does not hold a Sponsorship Licence and are unable to provide a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) or take over sponsorship for any role.

For many of our roles (and where it is possible) we are currently working remotely and anticipate in the future returning to a hybrid office model on a flexible basis. This will still include work-from-home and flexi-time opportunities to provide a good work-life balance whilst ensuring that teams benefit from in-person interaction. Candidates should therefore be within commutable distance of our offices in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire or able to attend meetings as required if further afield.
