The major duties of the Recreation Fee Technician position include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Serve as a front-line, uniformed representative of the NPS, answering visitor questions and explaining the area's recreational opportunities, including NPS interpretive services, concession operated facilities and services, campground availability, hiking trails, etc.
• Perform assignments in accordance with all NPS and U.S. Treasury regulations governing the handling of government funds.
• Assist higher level personnel with auditing fee collection program components/systems (e.g. cash registers, road/t??ail registers, honor systems, automated fee machines or AFMs, donation boxes, etc.).
• Assist in completing audit paperwork and documenting findings.
• Communicate audit results to supervisor.
• Prepare and complete remittance reports and bank deposits for funds donated and/or collected by others.
• Review shift reports and count funds collected.
• Investigate and proactively resolve routine or recurring discrepancies, and track overages, shortages, and errors.
• Inventory and/or restock fee program supplies and assist with placing orders and preparing requisition requests for equipment/supplies as needed.

The successful candidate will work as part of the ST1-2 rota (1:9 full shift) and will participate in the on-call rota for general paediatrics and neonatology. The appointee will form an integral part of the Paediatrics clinical rota through the provision of medical cover on the Paediatric wards and Neonatal unit. In addition, the successful applicant will be involved with the admission and assessment of Paediatric emergencies. There will be a middle grade specialty trainee to support tier 1 team. The consultant do resident evening hours and weekend/bank holidays day hrs followed by on-call non-resident hrs. The appointee will be expected to undertake regular ward rounds and seek senior advice when deemed appropriate. The doctor will be expected to contribute to the regular teaching programmes timetabled for postgraduates as well as the undergraduates. Child Protection work may arise out of hours, and the post holder will be expected to follow local guidelines.
