Job Description

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or directly related field.
• 10+ years of relevant technical experience in software development roles using Java Fullstack.
• 4+ Experience leading projects from architectural design to production, while setting and maintaining high standards of technical excellence across your team.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, and a history of working effectively with your team and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Experience or interest in building FinTech, payment, or banking systems.

Group Manager – Contract Management and PMO Contract Management:

Job Description 

As a Product Manager you will be at the heart of creating scalable platform tools that bring NielsenIQ’s data to the heart of the decisions our clients make every day. The role is to partner with internal NIQ users and clients (Customer Success and Modeling teams) to understand their needs and translate them into product requirements, develop user stores, and assist Scrum teams to meet sprint objectives. This role is to manage Smiths Detection’s Finance Shared Services Centre (SSC), improve customer satisfaction, ensure robust service delivery, and identify and implement process improvements. The individual will be a strong people leader and maintain the relationships with regional, entity and divisional finance stakeholders as well as with cross-divisional and group team members.

The role will take on responsibility for the Accounts Payable team, directly managing the Accounts Payable Team Leader and working with with all team members as required. This team provides agreed services for a number of the Smiths Detection sites. Working with the divisional HQ team and local finance teams, this role will review the appropriateness of and achievement of KPI’s and targets to ensure that these encourage the right priorities for the team and that customer satisfaction and quality of delivery are elevated.

There are also Accounting, Reporting and Controls (ARC) analysts reporting into a number teams globally who are co-located at the Pune site. This role will support the development of these Finance team members so that the Division can continue to support the assignment of these individuals to work with the local teams. This will include arranging training, learning and development, and acting as a ‘dotted line’ manager for the individuals for aspects of work which are best dealt with onsite. This role will initiate and manage recruitment where necessary to maintain an appropriate level of capabilities and resourcing within the team. This role will also ensure that individuals can support other teams in the case of the absence of primary team members, and to allow team members to swap roles if appropriate, to broaden the experience of team members.

This role will be key to building a reputation for high quality delivery and success by Finance Shared Services, supporting career paths of team members and improving structures and processes to make the SSC a function that businesses are keen to work with and that individuals wish to join and stay in and to develop their careers at Smiths Detection.

Ensure service delivery and stakeholder alignment:

• Maintain regular contact with local and divisional finance teams to ensure alignment on performance and to identify improvements

General Accounting Services Activities

• Journal Processing, Accruals and Prepayment, Intercompany Recharges, Balance Sheet Reconciliations, Month-end close, etc.
• Task Management across multiple legal entities
• Support to Regional Finance Business Partners in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses for business planning
• Provision of Management Accounting Services to support internal decision making

Financial Reporting, Audit and Compliance:

• Prepare and review financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards (e.g., GAAP/IFRS) and regulatory requirements as per Group requirement
• Coordinate and manage financial audits, working closely with external auditors.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.

Inventory and Fixed Assets:

• Supervise inventory management processes, including valuation, reconciliation, and control.
• Ensure consistency in inventory valuation practices and compliance with accounting standards.
• Work with local Business to establish robust reconciliation procedures to match physical inventory counts with recorded quantities in the financial records.
• Oversee the accounting for fixed assets, including depreciation and impairment assessments.
• Work closely with various departments to manage capital expenditure requests and approvals.
• Ensure that all capital investments are properly recorded and capitalized in accordance with accounting policies.

Team Leadership:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive learning and development programme for all team members to ensure their skills and behaviours meet and continue to meet John Crane requirements

Process Improvement

• Continuously assess and improve finance and accounting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy

Compliance and Risk Management

• Ensure compliance with compliance to Smiths Group and John Crane Policies and to applicable accounting and reporting standards etc.
• Identify and mitigate financial risks while maintaining strong internal controls
• The Smiths Group and John Crane often undertake change projects to improve efficiency and reduce operating costs. This position will be a key stakeholder in ensuring such projects are delivered in accordance with the plans and will be expected to lead related, relevant workstreams

The IT Service Manager will be a member of the IT Service Management team and play a supporting role in applying IT Service Management practices across a specific part of the business, mainly around Incident, Problem, Transition and Change management.  

The Service Manager will work closely with colleagues in GfK’s IT Service Management teams and be aligned to a specific business unit to help maintain policy, process, and procedures, ensuring these are aligned with ITIL best practices. 

They will also provide proactive governance and support to the business and help create management reporting tailored for a wide range of stakeholders. 

You will... 

• Be supporting the governance for a number of IT Service Management practices, including Incident, Problem and Change Management, ensuring that the policy, process, and procedures are followed.

Qualifications:
