We offer short term, holistic support focusing on the emotional and practical needs of the whole family whilst directly supporting the adult. The recent departure of the existing post holder has created this 2 day a week vacancy. The outcome of future funding beyond June 2025 is unknown at this stage. Responsibilities include supporting the Service Manager and Foodbank Senior Wellbeing Coordinator in their roles of leading the service and combining this with supervising staff, deputising in the managers absence and holding a small case load. This will involve providing a short-term intervention of up to six sessions in GP surgeries or online, undertaking holistic assessments and collaborative support plans, making safeguarding referrals where appropriate, liaising with partner agencies and improving equality, diversity and inclusion. Key tasks and responsibilities: To ensure close working with the Service Manager and Foodbank Senior Wellbeing Coordinator, in leading, planning and delivering the WellFamily and Foodbank Service To participate in the multi-agency forums and commissioning meetings in Wandsworth, to ensure the project is operating at its most effective within the network of agencies and as agreed by commissioners. This will particularly focus on the main stakeholders including Southwest London Integrated Care Board (NHS), GPs and Primary Care Networks, Wandsworth Borough Council, Wandsworth Foodbank, Community Empowerment Network and Citizens Advice Wandsworth. To assist in the recruitment and management of a team of staff and student placements to deliver the project safely and effectively in accordance with agreed outcomes and Family Action policies and procedures. Responsibility for Policy/Service Development Understand organisational policies and procedures necessary to ensure appropriate decision-making protocols are followed. Maximise the use of e and other forms of systems across the Directorates to achieve the most efficient, consistent and effective outcomes. Advise and develop where necessary, improved administrative practices within the directorates to improve efficient working. Responsibility for Financial & Physical Resources Preparation, reconciliation and submission of travel and corporate expenses for the Director. Code and check invoices ready for approval. To act as an authorised signatory and have budgetary responsibilities in relation to supplies, equipment and services on behalf of the Executive Director. This will require interaction with the Finance department to ensure effective and efficient working. To work with the Executive PA team to ensure that stationary and related goods/equipment are ordered/maintained and processed and that effective systems are in place to ensure adequate stock availability at all times. Responsibility for Human Resources To be involved in recruitment and selection, and staff development, support and induction of new in post administration staff within the directorates. Arrange inductions for new in post staff with their key relationships where necessary. Undertake management of holiday, sickness and absence recording within the directorate. Responsibility for Information Resources Maintain ownership and organisation of directorates shared access databases, mailboxes, etc. Act upon enquiries or notification of inspections by the Care Quality Commission promptly. Be the first point of contact, and maintain and act upon referrals from the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC) with regards to nurse registration issues, or concerns about clinical practice. Hold the NMC database that records these and disseminate when necessary to HR and the services for information and reports to be returned to the NMC. Using monthly audits of mandatory training and appraisal compliance to ensure non-compliant staff rectify their non-compliance, and then reporting back to the Directors. Undertake research for information as requested by the Directors both online and personally from relevant parties. Freedom to Act Able to work on own initiative with a broad knowledge of the directorates. Have a specialist and advanced understanding of the Executives portfolios. Ensuring task & referral pathways are up to date, and new information disseminated to all staff Accurate record keeping. Recording receipt and dispatch of records/ reports via a spreadsheet tracker. Liaise with outside organisations Request results/ letters /notes/reports from other agencies as required Maintaining file of requests for medical reports of patients from outside agencies. Contemporaneous documentation following any patient contact onto electronic patient records To ensure that letters and reports are produced promptly. They are well laid out in order to maintain the efficient running of the service. Support with registration & deduction process Maintain office supplies and stock levels with accurate record keeping Coding clinical letters as per training. To provide cover for reception and administrative staff when required. Supporting managers in the recruitment process. Supporting the managers in complaint investigation and preparation.

Applications are invited for the post of a Senior Clinical Fellow in UGI Surgery, for a fixed term period of 12 months starting in April 2025.

The UGI surgery unit at UCLH is a centralised unit for OG cancers in the North Central and North East Thames region. In addition to the surgery unit, there are strong and well established oncology and gastroenterology departments.



This post is intended to be a training clinical and leadership Fellowship for a Senior Upper GI post-CCT trainee with advanced OG and laparoscopic skills aiming for a career in OG cancer surgery. There is a sizeable volume of experience in benign and emergency OG surgery to be gained as well..

The post holder will be required to participate in the 1:4.5 consultant-level on-call Rota for OG surgery. No commitments will be expected for general surgery on-call.
