Are you Registered Nurse based in the North East looking for a career in Occupational Health?
We are a multidisciplinary Occupational Health provider seeking to source a Trainee Occupational Health Advisor in Newcastle. We are willing train and develop you into a qualified Occupational Health Advisor as part of your job.
This role is an exciting opportunity to utilise your existing nursing skills whilst training to become an Occupational Health Advisor. Ultimately this will see you progress in the role to become a qualified Occupational Health Advisor. We have a track record of training and developing talent within a multidisciplinary team, which makes this an exciting and unique opportunity.
In addition to being a specialist provider of Occupational Health Services, we offer a range of workplace health and wellbeing specialisms that are not widely available in the UK.
These include:
• Specialist treatment programmes for complex mental health issues and addictions of all kinds.
• Alcohol and opioid detox services
• Medication enquiries service
• Medication Visa
• Drug and Alcohol testing
• Specialist training programmes including workplace mental health awareness.
Role responsibilities include:
• Case management.
• Health Surveillance.
• Vaccinations.
• Immunisations.
• New starter screening.
• Health Promotion.
The role is full-time at 37.5 hours per week and based in Gateshead. The role involves working at their offices in Gateshead, but there will be an occasional need to travel to client sites in the North East, so you must have a car and full UK driving licence. Full on the job training is available to the successful applicant.
Role requirements:
• RGN registered with the NMC.
• Excellent communication skills.
• A genuine interest in Occupational Health.
• The ability to work autonomously.
• Full UK driving licence and car.
An interest or experience in mental health, addiction services, neurology, or pharmacology, would be beneficial to your application but not essential.
Salary is up to £36,000 per annum plus benefits dependent on experience.
