Key Responsibilities

• Understanding and keeping up to date with rules and regulations of service charges
• Liaising with Accountants and property managers to ensure compliance with RICS guidelines
• Liaising with Partners and senior staff prior to the take on of new accounts/properties.
• Relationship building and management of Partners expectations involving visits to other offices.
• Annual/ Quarterly overseas tax reports
• Maintain department's metrics/KPI's.
• Unsettled receipts after clients
• Arrears chasing
• New client/tenant set-ups.
• Transfer accounts
• Stand-alone bank reconciliations
• First point of contact for staff and client complaints
• Arrange and conduct training for new members or staff.
• Understanding of team responsibilities to cover during periods of annual leave/absence.

Other Responsibilities:Financial Management and Control

• Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting for client property portfolios, including budgeting, forecasting, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Ensure adherence to best practices in cash flow management, balance sheet control, and budget compliance.

Client and Stakeholder Engagement

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, surveyors, and internal departments.
• Act as a point of contact for client finance teams, providing regular updates and resolving any financial queries.

System and Process Improvement

• Standardise workflows and procedures across the team to ensure consistent service delivery and compliance.

This is a full-time role, working 37.5 hours between Monday and Friday. Core hours in the business are 9-5.30, but there is flexibility for the right applicant. A hybrid working policy is in place of up to 1 day per week working remotely, but this is currently under review and could increase in the near future.


What you'll need to succeed
You will ideally be a fully qualified accountant and have experience working within property or agricultural industries. You will ideally have experience using Qube or Re-Leased software packages and have exposure to a system's migration process, but this is not essential. You will have strong leadership qualities, staff management experience and take a proactive approach to problem-solving. You will have strong analytical skills and be accustomed to working with a portfolio of clients.

The post holder will be responsible for producing timely and accurate monthly budget reports, financial and activity analysis, forecasts, and variance analysis for several of the Trust’s Directorates. This will include supporting budget holders in the production of annual business plans and in the budget setting process.




The post holder will be responsible for ensuring that all financial plans and developments of Directorates align with the Trust’s strategies and organisational priorities.

The post holder will be required to meet regularly with budget holders at all levels of the Organisation and provide expert advice on financial policy, planning and controls to ensure that budgets are managed appropriately. This will include identifying risks and opportunities and responding to these by formulating and implementing appropriate actions.

The post holder will provide financial advice and information to the Directorate Accountant, the Head of Financial Reporting, the Deputy Directors of Finance, and the Director of Finance, to aid in decision making.
