A well-established, and rapidly expanding principle contractor who are currently looking to recruit a Project Manager to work with them on a permanent basis. You will be working on a £25 Million Social Housing Refurbishment scheme in Birmingham. You will be overseeing Kitchen and Bathrooms and E.W.I schemes in tenanted and void properties.

Role/Responsibilities

The Project Manager will organise and manage the delivery of project works in-line with the contract requirements, complying with quality and H&S standards, meeting programme timescales, being on budget and satisfaction targets.

The Project Manager will lead a multi-disciplined team for sites in the Birmingham area, including site managers and a combination of direct labour and supply, delivering of projects with a circa £25 Million budget; across a variety of schemes including Kitchen & Bathroom replacements / E.W.I schemes.

The duties and responsibilities of the Project Manager will include:

• Organise and review works schedules, including resources, materials, and supply chain requirements
• Comply with Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures
• Establish standards of quality on site and ensure delivery of a build in accordance with the specification and project requirements
• Follow procedures to mitigate risks of complaints when working in or around occupied premises.
• Communicate effectively with clients, project team and contractors.
• Engage and develop excellent relationships with supply chain, client representatives and consultants.
• Plan cost effective use of resources and forecast resource requirements in line with budget and projected works
• Ensure resources are adequate and competency of the team for the works involved
• Effective management of internal and external teams

• In managing the project, you will work closely with relevant team leads and suppliers to initiate required works, monitor delivery and recommend corrective action where appropriate and reporting on overall project status
• Be proactive in strategic engagement with technical teams, building strong working relationships and understanding of their technical areas
• Demonstrative experience in gathering Epics, User stories, and supporting the Business Analysis function on gathering clear sets of requirements is essential
• Ability to stage plan well, defining clear and measurable milestones is needed
• Strong financial budgeting, forecasting and management is required
• Maintain an accurate RAID log, and proactive review and execution of mitigations is imperative
• Excellent workshop hosting, board preparation and delivery is required - including setting agendas with clear outcomes, and presenting quality
• Work with customers, suppliers and other stakeholders to understand and agree what will meet their needs and to ensure that appropriate expectations are defined
• Demonstrate a successful track record of managing projects in a complex working environment especially in the areas of software, applications and integrations
• Excellent stakeholder expectations management, communication, project documentation skills required, along with strong project management knowledge and experience
• This role requires a self-starter, who is extremely organised, proactive, has strong attention to detail and has a minimum of 5 years experience in IT project management

As an experienced ICP Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the rapidly growing street furniture estate, leading the ICP (Independent Connection Provider) accreditation and ongoing connection management. You will contribute to the planning, execution, and successful closure of projects within the construction portfolio. Your leadership skills and in-depth knowledge will be instrumental in driving the success of these projects. The role will support the goal to become an ICP by Q2 2025 and will report to the Head of Health and Safety. You will be taking the company through the NERS accreditation from start to finish.
What you'll need to succeed

• Minimum of HNC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience working in the construction industry, specifically in Electrical projects.
• Strong electrical background in the DNO, IDNO, or ICP industry.
• Experience with installation or project management of electrical infrastructure up to 11 kV to NERS requirements.
• Comprehensive knowledge of health, safety, and environmental legislation and compliance on construction sites.
• Professional Project Management Qualification such as APM PMQ/PPQ or Prince2. (Not essential)
• Proven experience in project management, preferably in the highways or related industries such as utility networks.
