- Leads a team that is the single point of contact for all acquisitions in support of SDDC, providing guidance and recommendations to the Command Leadership, Subordinate Commands, Army Service Component Command, team members, and Contracting Agencies.
- Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets priorities, and ensures performance is timely, efficient, and of acceptable quality.
- Establishes and maintains collaborative environment with requirement owners to develop acquisition strategies, provide support on requirement package generation and management of acquisitions.

- Provides technical advice on contractual matters based on in-depth knowledge of acquisition regulations and policies
- Directs and coordinates plans for development and refinement of new and diverse acquisition management strategies to accomplish short-, mid-, and long-term organizational goals and objectives
