The Preschool Administrator will oversee the daily operations of the preschool, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and productive environment for both students and staff. The role includes managing administrative duties, coordinating with teachers and parents, maintaining regulatory compliance, and supporting the school’s educational mission. This position is crucial in ensuring the preschool runs smoothly and adheres to all state and educational guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Administrative Management:
- Oversee the day-to-day administrative tasks of the preschool, including student records, attendance, and staff schedules.
- Ensure compliance with state regulations, licensing requirements, and accreditation standards.
- Manage school resources and supplies, coordinating with vendors and maintaining school inventory.
- Support the Director in budgeting, financial reporting, auditing, and managing enrichment vendors and school fees.
Communication and Coordination:
- Serve as a point of contact for parents, handling inquiries, complaints, and facilitating clear communication between parents and teachers.
- Coordinate parent-teacher meetings, school events, and other activities that foster community engagement.
- Assist in updating the school’s communication platforms such as newsletters, social media, and emails.
Health and Safety Compliance:
- Ensure the preschool complies with health, safety, and emergency protocols.
- Implement and oversee procedures related to child health, including administering medications, handling emergencies, and coordinating with healthcare professionals as needed.
Qualifications:
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education, Education Administration, or related field.
- Proven experience in early childhood education or school administration.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of licensing regulations and accreditation processes for preschools.
- Proficiency in office software, including MS Office, Google, and school management systems.
Preferred Qualifications/Related Experience:
- Prior experience working in a preschool or early childhood setting.
- Familiarity with budgeting and financial management for educational institutions.
