• Supervise personnel engaged in the environmental, health and safety (EH&S) functions within the Institution
• Provide the leadership and direction to develop, implement, and oversee a sound safety program
• Implement policies and procedures to assure awareness of and compliance with EH&S requirements of the organization. Responsible for supervising personnel engaged in monitoring and preventing chemical; biological, radiological and physical hazards present throughout the work sites
• Keep informed on all existing and proposed changes in EH&S regulations

Requirements

• Nitec or Diploma in Engineering, possesses WSQ Advanced Certificate in WSH (Level B)
• Any safety related certificate will be an added advantage
• Possesses knowledge of Workplace Safety and Health Act and relevant COP Implementation
• Min. 2 years of work experience construction site and relevant to the work to be carried out by a WSH coordinator, and experience in ISO 45001 Audit

Responsibilities:

• Follows up on the pre- and post-contract administration of the project assigned to
• Covers efficient methods for conducting tendering activities, such as risk assessment, the development of a tender file
• Assist to prepare tender and contract documents including bills of quantities
• Administer the tender process, evaluate tenders, and submit tender recommendation reports

Requirements:

• Maintaining EHS management system documents and ensuring enforcement
• Monitoring and reporting EHS performance on a regular basis, including timely incident investigations and reporting
• Liaise with authorities and ensure all required legal documents submitted comply with the relevant authorities’ requirement e.g. MOM, SCDF, NEA etc.
