The Senior Associate will play a crucial role in structuring, modelling and execution of complex financing transactions, working closely with the investment team to analyse opportunities to optimise deal structures. Leading financial modelling and analysis for new investment opportunities, including cash flow projections, scenario analysis and sensitivity testing
Collaborate with the investment team to asses credit risk, negotiate terms and structure transactions
Conduct thorough due diligence on potential investments, evaluating financial statements, legal documentation and industry trends
Monitor portfolio performance and conduct ongoing analysis of the loan book Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in finance, economics or related field
Minimum 3 years experience working within corporate lending for a bank or private credit fund
Experience structuring complex corporate transactions
Strong proficiency in financial modelling and analysis with advanced excel skills
Deep understanding of corporate lending

Opportunity to join a leading financial services organisation in a senior credit risk role within project finance. This leading financial services organisation is currently recruiting a Director or Associate Director their Sydney team. The role will be responsible for structuring and analysing corporate / institutional project finance deals as well as leading and developing a team. The successful candidate must have experience analysing and structuring complex, large scale loans and presenting to credit committees.

Responsibilities

Manage exposures for a portfolio of institutional and corporate clients in a proactive manner;
Provide risk assessment perspectives on new transactions as well as existing clients and industries.
Keep track of market and industry trends, as well as their implications for clients.
Assist with monitoring of projects and identifying risks
Interact with key stakeholders, such as clients and origination team.
Assist the team with ad hoc initiatives and workstreams that arise on a regular basis.

Requirements

10 years + experience in corporate / institutional Credit, ideally within Project Finance
Proven ability to build, develop and maintain client relationships
Strong understanding of project / structured finance
Excellent communication skills, and stakeholder relationship skills
Strong financial acumen and understanding of financial statements for credit assessment
Tertiary qualifications in a related field (finance, accounting, commerce, banking or similar)
