This role will manage a variety of coastal engineering projects specifically coastal structures, feasibility analysis, engineering designs and analyses, report preparation, managing permitting and stakeholders and construction engineering services; and support our linear infrastructure team to manage flood alleviation and drainage improvement projects.

Main responsibilities:

• Delivering engineering consultancy services as technical lead and/or project manager to achieve high client satisfaction.
• Manage coastal infrastructure, drainage improvement projects from planning to design, and implementation phases of projects.

To be a successful candidate you shall possess:

• Professional Engineer/Chartered Engineer of Civil Engineer of Coastal Engineering discipline.
• In-depth capability in coastal engineering.
• Awareness of climate change and sea level rise implications for coastal areas, and experience with consideration of same in coastal planning and design.
• More than 10 years experience in feasibility, planning, investigations, modeling, design, and construction of coastal engineering projects.

Our Architecture team is looking to hire a Permitting Coordinator to work in our Singapore office. Essential Duties:

• Maintains projects’ documentation and file management system, working closely and independently with Lead Architect(s)/QPs including the administering and upkeeping of projects’ internal and external Electronic Document & File Management Systems.

The role will work closely with the Electrical works quality control and assurance matters for the construction of the respective facilities in the contracts under their care on the project using their experience and knowledge in the construction, inspection, and quality assurance of Electrical elements. They will supervise the contractors maintain consistency across all the contracts and ensure that the quality of all Electrical works comply with the specifications and applicable codes and regulations.

• Review and understand scope, BIM, specifications, and drawings for all civil and structural works.

We are looking to hire a full-time Associate Quantity Surveyor to be part of our Singapore Water team based at the Singapore Office. Duties shall include:

• Working with the Project Manager(s), Contracts Manager, and other assigned leads in the contract administration of ongoing projects, mainly in various areas of Water projects; which includes water treatment plant, canal improvement works, conveyance pipelines, and coastal adaptation studies.
• Prepare and review of tender documents, contracts, and bills of quantities.
• Prepare reply to tender queries raised by tenderers and issue corrigendum to tender document during tendering period.
• Involved in tender evaluation including comparison of BQ prices of tenderers and prepare tender clarification letters for the shortlisted tenderers.
• Review, understand and communicate the Contract requirements to the Project Manager and the delivery team.
• Provide support on the general administration of contracts including drafting replies to the contractor’s general correspondence and notices of claims.
• Ensure correct administrative processes are put in place for management of change controls, early warning, compensation events, changes to scope of works, payment.
• Handle procurement and liaison with sub-consultants and suppliers.
• Assess and certify the various claims including progress payment claims, variation claims, extension of time and loss and expense claims.
• Prepare and finalise variation orders and final accounts for the contracts assigned.
• Prepare cash flows and perform monthly cost reporting and tracking of ongoing jobs.
• Support the Project Manager in resolving commercial issues with the Client and Contractor and implement strategies to avoid litigation / claims.
• Perform quantity take off and support on cost estimates.
• Attend various meetings, on-site BQ verifications and quality checks.

To be a successful candidate you shall possess:

• Bachelor Degree in Quantity Surveying, with a minimum of 8 years of Quantity Surveyor working experience in infrastructure projects in Singapore. Consultancy experience will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge in PSSCOC.
• High proficiency in MS Excel. Basic skills in CAD/BIM software for quantity take-off will be an added advantage.

As the Technical Team Lead, you will rely on your in-depth expertise in your own job discipline and broad knowledge of other job disciplines within the organisation to drive the project outcomes. In the role, you shall anticipate internal and or external business challenges, vendor and/or regulatory issues and recommend process, product or service improvements, solve unique and complex problems that have a broad impact on the business.

This role will work with the Project Manager and Engineering Manager in the delivery of the project in all aspects including the overall quality, schedule, cost, HSE and human relations amongst the team members across delivery offices. As one of the lead representatives of Jacobs to the Client for information or decision relative to the assigned project, you will act as a key point of contact for the Project with the client, subcontractors and contractors, including progress reporting, safety, financial recommendations, quality control and design development, implementation and change management. The Technical Lead acts as a "hands-on" manager in a complex network of interrelated activities necessary to move technical and engineering information forward to complete the design, construction and initial operations of the project facilities. The essential duties and responsibilities of the Technical Team Lead include:

Our Water business is hiring a BIM Coordinator to be part of the major water treatment plant project in Tuas, Singapore. Jacobs' role in this project is as a Client's Representative. While we appreciate profiles coming from BIM/CAD Modeler backgrounds, the ideal fit is someone who has done coordination work across multiple contractors and organizations in large infrastructure projects.

This is a site-based role to provide technical support to the design teams, deliverables from the Contractor, and manage submissions to the Client related to 3D models and drawings. This role will work and report to the Project BIM Manager and Construction Manager. This role differs from a BIM Modeling role.

Tasks include, but are not limited to:

• Be the point of contact for all BIM-related reporting and inquiries within the designated contract group, Lead any BIM meeting with Contractors to deliver per BIM requirements.
• Report the current submission status to the Team, and proactively resolve engineering challenges using BIM tools.
• Managing contractor's submission per requirement and chair meetings.

To be a successful candidate, you must possess:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with prior experience as a BIM Coordinator.
• Experience in managing multiple contractors within one project is essential.
• Relevant experience in large multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects using 3D models. Working experience in process plant and/or wastewater treatment projects will be an added advantage.
