We have a fantastic opportunity for a Commercial Manager to join Lovell’s East Anglia region.

As our Commercial Manager, you will lead, manage and support all pre and post commercial activities within the regional office, ensuring that commercial opportunity is optimised and converted as appropriate. You will participate in tender appraisal, bid strategy and adjudication, and ensure that the post contract administration of projects is entirely in accordance with the company’s CSI. It will be your responsibility to ensure that any commercial threats to projects/the company are identified swiftly and effective counter measures are implemented.

We are looking for an experienced Commercial Manager – someone who has knowledge and understanding of sub-contract/material orders and the buying process and who can form and develop relationships with Clients, PQS and the Design team as well as with supply chain. You will be commercially astute and innovative to maximise profit and cash management and have a good understanding of claims and dispute resolution. We would like or Commercial Manager to have experience of financial reports and be comfortable managing activities across the region.

If so, we’ve a fantastic opportunity within our Construction business for an ambitious and talented Site Manager to join us covering the Eastern Counties.

About the Role

Coordinating and managing the activities of all site personnel, you’ll ensure adherence to all policies, procedures and standards using specified drawings and instructions, within budget and on programme in support of our Perfect Delivery philosophy. Leading and motivating a team, you’ll supervise all direct labour as necessary, coordinating trades and subcontractors to ensure operations are performed efficiently and in accordance with the construction programme. We are happy to talk flexible and agile working.

About You

An experienced Site Manager, you’ll be educated to HNC/HND in Construction or equivalent, with sound knowledge of health and safety legislation, with a CSCS card. A strong leader, with the ability to identify and notify development areas across the team, you’ll motivate staff and colleagues to perform, ensuring standards and specifications are met. Experience of working on Educational, Healthcare, Leisure or Defence schemes between £5 and £20 million would be advantageous, along with a Construction Industry Training Board. You will also ideally have refurbishment experience.

A full UK driving licence is essential.
