What will I be doing?

Your role will be working within our Adults domiciliary and Complex children’s care packages to provide care and support for all clients. This will be delivered in a mix of the client’s own homes and out in the community. Your role may involve:

Supporting with social outings

Following daily activity planners

Fun days out

Managing Challenging behaviour

Working with children with severe autism, ADHD or learning difficulties.

Working with Adults with both basic and complex care needs.

Hoisting and mobility support

Mental health support

Overnight stays

Medication assistance

Personal care

Lone working and double up calls

Shift Patterns

We can offer flexible working patterns to suit you and everyone will work on a 2 weekly rolling rota including evening and weekend work an example of this could look like:

Week 1- Mon, Tues, Sat, Sun

Week 2- Wed, Thurs, Fri

Other shift patterns and times can be discussed during your initial conservation.

Field Care Supervisor – Workington

We are looking for a full-time Field Care Supervisor with previous experience within the care sector for our Workington Branch and surrounding areas to strengthen our team.

You will be responsible for:

• Undertaking spot checks on care workers within the field.
• Support the ambassadors and complete competency checks.
• Customer service reviews.
• Assisting with completing carers and clients’ weekly rotas.
• Helping with business development.
• Supervising Care services.
• Providing care in accordance with current best practices, according to policy and procedures.
• On Call Duties- evening & weekends to be carried out on a rota.
• Deliver high quality care to our customers.

Job Description:

• To work in line with the company’s mission, vision, values.
• To develop an effective working relationship with our Care Manager, Care Assessor & Care Coordinator.
• To maintain care skills at a current level and undertake such training and development as may from time-to-time be required to maintain practices as up to date.
• Be proactive in becoming a Dementia Friend, promoting this amongst others.
• Monitor care workers and evaluate their performance.
• Evaluate standards of care competence across the workforce highlighting areas that require development.
• Care experience is required and a level 3 in Health and Social care.
• Is compassionate and caring.
• Will always represent Alcedo Care in a professional and dedicated manner.
• Can communicate well.
• Is computer literate.
• Is hardworking and flexible.
• Holds a full UK driving licence and has access to their own car.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with clients, families, and the care team effectively.
• Compassionate, patient-oriented, and empathetic approach to caregiving.
• Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements related to domiciliary care services.
• NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) is an advantage.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time efficiently.
• Driving licence and access to a car is essential.
