We have a rare opportunity for a seasoned Senior Underwriter to join our growing Retail Underwriting Team. Located in either Milton, Brisbane or our Sydney office. Hybrid Working Model. Career Growth Opportunities. Recharge days and Vitality membership.
To do this successfully you will:
- Underwriting assessments within personal authority levels
- Maintain individual service level, productivity and quality targets
- Approval of referrals within authority levels
- Strong adviser communication and relationship building
- Promote and drive a culture of extracting quality information from advisers and clients or any third party via tele-collection of information
- Strategic development of Underwriting practices, processes, reduced requirement requests (e.g. PMAR) and cancellations rates, end-to-end cycle time targets and tele-underwriting excellence.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with reinsurers to gain industry knowledge on best practice underwriting capabilities.
Successful applications will demonstrate:
- Extensive Underwriting Experience
- Ideally hold a Level 8 Delegated Underwriting Authority
- Able to demonstrate standard process in Underwriting
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Sound medical and financial knowledge
- Sound Customer Service Skills
