What You Will Achieve
Working with Pfizer’s dynamic engineering team, you will play a critical part in managing the maintenance and reliability engineering activities involving the redesign, maintenance, and repair of utilities systems, buildings, and production/non-production equipment.
You will be a team member who is relied to have a good understanding of procedures, techniques, tools, materials and equipment. Your decision making will help you prioritize workflows based on the available resources. You will follow standard procedures to complete tasks, some of which may vary in scope, sequence, complexity and timing. You will contribute to the team’s success by sharing your previously acquired knowledge.

How You Will Achieve It
A Maintenance Mechanic working within the Operations and Utilities environment. Mechanic is required to read and understand drawings / blueprints, utilizing this knowledge for the installation / repair of new and existing equipment. Performs preventive maintenance, modifies, installs, and troubleshoots a multitude of equipment. This job requires the use of precision measuring devices, the ability to repair glass lined and glass coated equipment, and properly install pumps, agitators, and mechanical seals. He/she is required to work with precision bearings, electric motor gearing, gearboxes, packaging machinery and related equipment.The Mechanic also provides customer training in the implementation of those systems in compliance with company standards and procedures and government regulations (SOPs, GMPs, GLPs, PSM, etc). Can serve as a maintenance advisor in areas of engineering (process design, material selection, documentation, testing and problem solving methodology, project scope and follow up). Responsible for priority assessment and decision making as it relates to troubleshooting, diagnostics, assembly, repair, and a proactive maintenance of systems and equipment in a cost-effective manner.
Qualifications
Must-Have
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2+ years of experience
- Excellent computer user skills
- Functional or Technical Knowledge of basic discipline
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Sound interpersonal, decision making and problem solving skills
Nice-to-Have
- Previous Biopharma experience
- Knowledge of Food and Drug Administration PSM, Good Manufacturing Practices {also cGMP} policies and procedures
Work Location Assignment: On Premise
The salary for this position ranges from $18.74 to $31.23 per hour. In addition, this position offers eligibility for overtime, weekend, holiday and other pay premiums depending on the work schedule and the Company’s policies.
