SUMMARY:

This position is directly responsible for managing the sales positioning and value added product development of Fresh Meats Pork processor products. This includes coordinating sales efforts for these items within the Tyson sales network of national and International Service Centers to maximize overall product value for the Fresh Meats Group. The position requires interaction on a daily basis with Plant Operations, Scheduling, Logistics, Claims, Credit, and other internal support groups along with an established external customer base. Maximized sales realizations optimal inventory position management value added product development new customer development and exemplary customer service are primary drivers for this area.

Additional Responsibilities:

Responsible for beef or pork sales in volume to both new and existing accounts; significant telephone interaction with customers to maintain and develop these accounts; collection of customer information and market conditions to share with other relevant Tyson business units and senior management; execution of all administrative duties efficiently while providing timely and courteous service to Tyson customers; other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Education: Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience: 2+ years experience in Sales, Logistics and/or Operations or 6 months of Fresh Meats sales experience preferred. Product knowledge and/or prior agriculture sales experience  a plus.
• Computer Skills: Good computer skills; knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
• Communication Skills: Strong communication skills both verbal and written.

SUMMARY:

The Senior Production Planner is tasked with coordinating, planning, and overseeing key responsibilities within the assigned division, including plant operations, material handling units, Forward Warehouses, internal and external freezer activity, and inventory reconciliations. Additionally, this role involves training and developing the skills of team members, providing leadership, knowledge, and assistance. Maintaining effective communication with internal and external department heads is essential to achieving financial, business, and customer satisfaction objectives.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience: 2 plus years of experience preferred; Planning, Operations, Supply Chain Management, or Sales experience preferred.

Computer Skills: Requires the ability to comprehend and lead planning processes through available existing and potential tools currently utilized in planning area. QMF ability in writing and executing basic programs i.e. queries spreadsheets to troubleshoot data etc. is preferable.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills thru various levels required. Informal presentations to groups on work-related topics.

Special Skills: Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects display effective and justifiable decision-making abilities be detail oriented trustworthy and people and process oriented. Must work well in a fast-paced environment and be able to meet deadlines in a reasonable time frame with a positive upbeat attitude; ability to collaborate with others and drive for results in a timely manner.

Travel: 1-5 domestic trips per year
