Description:

This position is responsible for operating a shag truck to move semi-trailers while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. This position could work in any department of the PBX division.  It requires using a shag truck to move semi-trailers and backing them into designated loading docks and parking areas.  It requires frequent climbing into and out of the shag truck therefore must be able to climb in/out of truck using 3 points of contact several times a day and climb ladders as needed at varying height.

4:00pm-1:00am Mon-Fri potential Saturdays (Saturday & Sunday)

This position is responsible for providing technical assistance to producers caring for the company's birds regarding the proper care and comfort. Duties would include, but are not limited to, advising producers regarding building and equipment specifications, litter manipulation, and farm sanitation. Farm visits to include documenting bird comfort, management of the flock and equipment settings, monitoring bird health, and providing remedy when possible. SUMMARY:

This position is responsible to assist in controlling expenses; provide for the compliance and coordination of the federal meat inspection and OSHA requirements; interpret and enforce company policies; assist in the determination of manpower needs and makes recommendations; prepare and maintain prescribed records and reports to ensure that they reflect conditions accurately; solve problems in an effective manner with sound follow up; work with department heads to meet production quality yields and goals while at the same time ensuring the maintenance of labor standards and quality of performance and product; inspect and maintain a high degree of competence in the areas of house keeping safety sanitation and security; supervise production supervisors; and oversee all designated shift operations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent college degree preferred. Experience: 3-5 years of related industry 1-3 years of supervisory experience preferably in a meat processing facility and knowledge of OSHA USDA and HACCP regulations.

Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Supervisory Responsibilities: Manage subordinate supervisors who supervise team members in the plant; carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization s policies and applicable laws; interview hire and train team members; plan assign and direct work; monitor and appraise work performance; reward coach counsel and discipline team members; address complaints and resolve problems. Special Skills: Knowledge of OSHA USDA HACCP Safety Security Sanitation Quality yields cost and efficiencies strong math ability a plus.
