The primary purpose of this position is: To serve as an Air Reserve Technician (ART) position; to verify and analyze malfunctions, troubleshoot, calibrate, modify, test, align, inspect, repair, configure, deconfigure, and load assigned integrated weapons delivery systems; and to provide training to reservists in the accomplishment of tasks set forth herein.

Duties:

1. Troubleshoots integrated weapons systems, electronic and electromechanical components, subassemblies, and test equipment to determine nature of malfunctions and corrective actions required. Loads and unloads, positions, arms, and safes all assigned air munitions on assigned aircraft.
2. Performs maintenance, repair, inspection, fabrication and modification of integrated weapons systems electronic and electro-mechanical components and their subassemblies. Plans and conducts training of reservists and other employees. Utilizes safety practices and procedures.
3. Removes/installs integrated weapons systems electronic components, and subassemblies into aircraft, alternate mission equipment, and associated test equipment. Complies with security regulations, directives, and policies. Certifies work produced under the USAF Technical Order Program.
4. Performs alignment and calibration of integrated weapons systems components, subassemblies, and associated test equipment. Controls Tools. Cleans work area and equipment
5. Performs pretest, operational, functional, and final testing of integrated weapons systems electronic components, AME and their subassemblies.
6. Accomplishes configuration changes of integrated weapons control, launch, release, and suspension assemblies to accommodate assigned aircraft mission requirements. Completes work control documents in accordance with established procedures.

As a TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST at the GS-2130-12 some of your typical work assignments may include:

• Serve as a Traffic Management Specialist, and Alternate Lead Contracting Officer Representative (COR) in the Personal Property Directorate.
• Facilitate development and implementation of new programs, evaluation of existing programs, and execution of operational activities to maintain integrity of movement and storage systems.
• Conduct studies involving research and development of new systems or methods of improving existing systems for movement and storage of personal property during adverse situations where operational barriers such as bankruptcy, agency refusal to move shipments to destination, fire, natural disasters, and strikes exist.
• Facilitate and develop changes to policy, procedures, and governing directives for coordination with DoD components, the Prime Contractor, and other interested parties.
• Perform financial analyses and evaluation of programs, which ensures the Prime Contractor can provide service to the DoD; identify and evaluate the impact of internal and external changes on the operating performance and viability of the Prime Contractor.

• Duties include transportation, decontamination, sterile preparation, and storage of Dental Instrumentation following all guidelines.
• Training conducted at Hampton VAMC SPS.
• Responsible for sterile preparation which is accomplished through inspection, assembly, packaging, and terminal sterilization of all trays, sets, and packs for use throughout the facility.
• Assemblies range from simple sets of four or five instruments to very complex sets of up to ninety instruments such as Total joint sets, femoral vascular, radical nephrectomy, abdominal vascular, chest sets, thoracic, orthopedic implant sets, carotid vascular, general surgery sets, etc.
• Assembles delicate micro-surgical sets such as micro-surgical ear set. ENT plastic set for procedures requiring plastic surgery, micro-surgical eye instruments, and other surgical specialties. These sets contain stainless steel instruments, titanium staples, screws, plates, and other prostheses which require expert care and careful attention.
• The incumbent assembles and selects the correct sterilizing method for a variety of costly and delicate equipment such as flexible resectoscopes and other flexible and rigid endoscopes.
• Tests instruments for functionality and assembles instruments in accordance with manufacturer's guidelines.
• Selects appropriate methods for sterilizing, balancing time constraints with possible detrimental effects of quicker methods.
• Independently prepares the full range of trays and sets necessary to be used in the wards, clinic areas, dental clinic and surgery.
• Updates trays and count sheets as needed.
• Considers surgery schedules and Clinic schedules along with considering time factors for processing order to determine how many items to stock based on the turnaround time for processing, preparation and frequency of use.

• IAW technical data and standards: Plans and lays out work from engineering data, blueprints, sketches, drawings, specifications, and work orders in the repair, coating or manufacture of aircraft structural components and support equipment; Develops patterns, molds, cuts, forms, joins, assembles, and installs items and systems which have combined straight and curved edges or irregular curves, angles, and planes.
• Operates, cleans, maintains and accounts for all hand, power tools and equipment, such as slip roll forming machines, box and pan brakes, beading and tubing machines to fabricate and repair items.
• Inspects, prepares aircraft and support equipment surfaces and applies a variety of chemical compounds, protective and specialized coatings to a variety of materials, such as sheet metal, radomes and composites then correctly disposes of hazardous waste products.

• The primary purpose of this position is to test, troubleshoot, repair and modify aircraft fuel distribution systems, repair leaks of external/integrated tanks, and provide training to reservists in the accomplishment of tasks set forth therein.
• Conducts scheduled periodic maintenance inspections on all hydraulically operated systems on aircraft. Troubleshoots all hydraulic systems on both local and transient aircraft.

• Receives Reports of Shipments (REPSHIPS) from originating shipping activities for classified, hazardous, and other special handling cargo destined for Holloman AFB.
• Receives and processes the tracer and exception lists submitted from base supply and other agencies. Uses CMOS to run queries on shipments as part of tracing procedures.
• Identifies freight found by the Air Force Government Cargo Recovery Effort Program (GOCARE) or the carrier by comparing stock numbers, invoice numbers, and item numbers contained in CMOS.
