The primary purpose of this position is: To perform aircraft structural maintenance and support equipment repair for tasks associated with the planning, laying out, fabricating, modifying, repairing, assembling, corrosion control, specialized coatings, advanced composites, tubing, and installing sheet metal parts, items, and assemblies and to provide training to reservists in the accomplishment of tasks herein.

Responsibilities:
1: IAW technical data and standards: Plans and lays out work from engineering data, blueprints, sketches, drawings, specifications, and work orders in the repair, coating, or manufacture of aircraft structural components and support equipment.

3: Operates, cleans, maintains, and accounts for all hand, power tools and equipment, such as slip roll forming machines, box and pan brakes, beading and tubing machines to fabricate and repair items. Utilizes safety practices, Federal Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and AF Environmental Compliance Assessment Management Program (ECAMP) environmental protection practices and procedures and complies with security regulations, directives and policies.

4: Inspects, prepares aircraft and support equipment surfaces and applies a variety of chemical compounds, protective and specialized coatings to a variety of materials, such as sheet metal, radomes, and composites then correctly disposes of hazardous waste products.

5: Repairs, modifies, and manufactures fiberglass, bonded honeycomb, and composite/metal structural components that have contours that must be reestablished or that require the manufacture of a mold using the available part or pattern. Prepares effective training plans to maximize Reserve training.

This Master Transportation Security Officer- Security Training Instructor position is located at Dallas Love Field (DAL), Transportation Security Administration, Department of Homeland Security (DHS). As a Master Transportation Security Officer (MTSO), you will support the airport training program through performance of a variety of training-related functions. In addition to training program responsibilities, you will also perform pre-board security screening of persons, cargo, carry-on, and checked baggage as directed by the Federal Security Director (FSD), or his/her designee, a minimum of 20% of the time. Duties include but are not limited to:

As an Aircraft Maintenance Manager (Title 32), GS-1601-12, you will perform the below duties:

1. Directs unit's overall efforts to ensure readiness of assigned aircraft, personnel, and equipment to meet wartime, day-to-day mission requirements, and any State Active Duty to support State Emergencies. Plans, organizes, and oversees the activities of the organization to direct flying operations. Establishes, reviews, and/or revises policies, procedures, mission objectives, and organization design for the assigned staff, as necessary to eliminate work problems or barriers to mission accomplishment. Directs all functions to provide mission generation support by executing on-equipment activities to produce properly configured, mission ready weapon systems to meet contingency and training mission requirements for both operations and maintenance personnel. Ensures standardized procedures and organizations among Aircraft Maintenance Units (AMUs). Constantly exercises conflict-resolution skills to de-conflict flying schedule priorities supporting wing mission requirements, Operations and Maintenance Training requirements, and real-world Air Tasking Order (ATO) commitments. This also involves fluctuating deadlines, supporting multiple AMUs at dispersed locations, and work occurring on 2 or more shifts. Incumbent is also expected to make critical decisions involving fleet Urgent and Immediate action Time-Compliance Technical Order aircraft modifications as they affect the flying schedule. 3. Develops and constantly provides feedback on operational plans to NGB POCs and the Joint Staff. Collaborates with the Group Commander and the HRO on major organization changes and changes based on manpower documents. May serve as a key team member in the strategic planning process at the state and national level.
4. Coordinates with appropriate groups in the wing to ensure an integrated approach to action solutions of problems relating to fleet health, availability of aircraft, and the ability to conduct the military mission. Assesses the impact of the flying schedule and schedule changes program to ensure that aircraft requirements and configurations can be met. Plans, implements, and coordinates multiple complex and often competing mission requirements and commitments involving Expeditionary Combat Support (ECS) and aviation packages which may require the activation and deployment of an adaptable, agile force able to respond to dynamic worldwide events. Ensures the unit retains the capability for the simultaneous execution of home station maintenance and training.
5. Plans, implements, and executes contingency operations which may require the activation and deployment of aircraft, personnel, and equipment able to respond to dynamic worldwide events. Participates in decision making impacting aircraft availability, configuration, and capability to support these operations. Plans for force protection, resource protection and recovery of battle damaged aircraft. Manages and dispatches Maintenance Recovery Teams (MRT) as necessary, anywhere in the world to recover disabled aircraft. Ensures planned generation/regeneration of aircraft meets ATO guidance in coordination with the Operations Group.
6. Maintains surveillance and ensures effective operation of the maintenance program. Makes periodic and comprehensive assessment of program through a review of performance indicators, productivity goals and accomplishments, deficiency reports, audit findings, etc. Identifies existing or potential productivity problems and discusses with subordinate supervisors. Ensures that corrective actions or improvement plans are implemented to resolve problems. Validates maintenance program methods, procedures and policies to ensure that the subordinate supervisors have the flexibility needed to meet the program goals and objectives. Evaluates, through a trends analysis program, the activities of the aircraft maintenance programs to ensure resolution and prevent reoccurrence of problems, and that self-inspection requirements are in accordance with established policies and prescribed directives.

The primary purpose of this position is: as an Air Reserve Technician (ART) and the sole enlisted aircrew member, to provide ground and flight
training instruction for developing, upgrading, and evaluating the skills of loadmaster aircrew members; assist the pilot in the operation of the aircraft; perform traditional loadmaster duties, accomplish required weather reconnaissance data gathering duties as assigned; and perform related staff support duties.

Duties:
1. Provides ground and flight training instruction for developing, upgrading, and evaluating the skills of loadmaster aircrew members. Assist the pilot in the operation of the aircraft; perform loadmaster duties on assigned missions. Accomplish required flight engineering duties. Provides oversight for loadmaster operations and perform aircrew loadmaster instructor duties at the Formal Training Unit (FTU). 2. Develops a plan, coordinates requirements, directs personnel, and executes activities in support of Contingency Response Team (CRT) airlift operations. Accomplishes preflight inspection of aerospace ground equipment and applies external power to the aircraft. Accomplishes pre-flight inspection of the aircraft and cargo/airdrop systems according to flight manual procedures. Determines cargo restrains requirements according to criteria and directs and checks the application of cargo restraint equipment.
3. Demonstrates the use of passenger emergency oxygen systems and life vests. Computes and completes aircraft weight and balance documentation either manually or electronically. Visually monitors aircraft clearances (interior and exterior), identifies proximal threats to the aircraft and initiates corrective actions (aircraft scanning).
4. Airdrop qualified Loadmasters only: Conducts cargo and personnel airdrops according to directives. Attaches extraction parachutes to cargo and platforms
5. Inspects cargo and platforms, extraction systems and connects static lines. Operates aircraft airdrop systems and monitors cargo and paratroopers exiting the aircraft.

• Manages, monitors or performs overall maintenance, servicing, inspections and documentation for one or more highly technical, high performance military aircraft. Performs work in complex conditions under time and/or mission constraints to include all weather and night operations. Works with, coordinates and oversees the work of lower graded aircraft mechanics and certifies the work of journey level workers in other trades working on the assigned aircraft. • Requests maintenance services exceeding AASF capabilities or time constraints. Controls and performs work assignments based upon priorities, workload, availability of parts, facilities, material and personnel. Observes and inspects performance of other workers work to insure compliance with applicable technical publications, directives and local policy. Assists AVCRAD/DEPOT level maintenance activities on individual assigned aircraft discrepancies as required.
• Ensures Unit Level Logistics-Aviation (ULLS-A) and other aircraft documentation accurately reflects status and airworthiness of assigned aircraft. Provides technical guidance and assistance to flight crews regarding observed discrepancies, experienced in-flight characteristics and system malfunctions. Performs or assists in aircrew debriefing.
• Clears Red X status symbols on aircraft forms for work performed by others. Performs in-process and final inspection of others' work on assigned aircraft and components and certifies by signature adherence to work procedures and quality standards established by applicable publications. Participates in Maintenance Test Flights as a crewmember or Technical Observer (TO), as required. May participate in operational flights as a crewmember or Flight Engineer.
