Your Role
The Forklift Driver reports to the Operations Manager and is responsible for the safe and efficient movement of fruit and materials within the packing shed. This role involves loading, unloading, and transporting goods while adhering to the company’s high standards of safety, quality and productivity.
Major Duties:
• Safely operate forklifts to transport fruit bins, pallets, and materials between production areas, storage, and loading docks.
• Load and unload trucks, ensuring products are securely positioned and undamaged during handling.
• Stack and organise packed fruit in the warehouse for efficient space utilization.
• Conduct routine safety and operational checks on forklifts, reporting any issues to the maintenance team.
• Collaborate with production and packing teams to ensure smooth operations and timely movement of goods.
• Adhere to workplace safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of product movements and loading activities.
Requirements:
• Current forklift license with proven experience operating forklifts in a fast-paced environment.
• Minimum 1 year working experience of Forklift operating.
• Understanding of workplace safety regulations and safe handling practices.
• Strong attention to details to ensure accurate handling of goods.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
For the right candidate, the annual salary package of $68,000 - $75,000 + superannuation is on offer.
