We are currently seeking to recruit a highly motivated admin & clerical administrator to join our dynamic scheduling team based in the Imaging department at Whipps Cross Hospital. The ideal candidate will be able to work collaboratively within a busy multidisciplinary team and also have the ability to take initiative, work independently and prioritise own workload.
The main duties of the role will include ensuring that all imaging referrals are processed correctly and booked within the national waiting times. This will involve monitoring patient waiting lists, creating patient encounters, inputting referral information, and ensuring all issues are escalated and recorded in a timely fashion. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar customer service role understanding the importance of; confidentiality/GDPR, ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff of all levels and able to manage varying workloads.
The ideal candidate for this post will have excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills. You will also need to be flexible with an inclusive, improvement orientated outlook at delivering an exceptional service to our patients and service users.
Computer literacy, competent working knowledge of Microsoft office and attention to detail is essential as you will be expected to; navigate, input and extract information from various NHS systems such as CRS, Sectra PACS, and EPR.
This is a customer service role responsible for the scheduling of imaging appointments including Interventional Radiology, Ultrasound, MRI, & CT by providing clerical support, appointment diary management and performing clerking processes within the Radiology department. The post holder will be required to work closely with receptionists, clinical teams and other departmental staff to ensure a smooth and effective delivery of service and uphold trust expectation, whilst striving to ensure our patients receive the most positive experience possible.
The post holder of this role will require a flexible and compassionate approach to delivering exceptional customer service to patients and visitors and coordinate an efficient administrative service for the department.
The post holder will be expected to rotate between all modalities and maintain flexibility with working hours where required to fulfil shift patterns, accommodate in- hours services and fill gaps due to sickness or annual leave.
The post holder will be responsible for ensuring that patient’s referrals are appropriately acknowledged, processed and scheduled in line with waiting times via RIS SECTRA and CRS. To confirm appointment details, manage busy telephone lines, answer general enquires and ensuring that patient demographic and contact details are accurate and up to date.
