This role will take the leadership of building an innovation pipeline for S&T projects across Asia and lead the creation of an innovation portfolio via partnerships with academic institutions and other innovation hubs, with the goal of creating novel and advanced products for Danaher’s growth franchises.

This role will work collaboratively with multiple Business Strategy and R&D leaders across Danaher’s Platforms and Operating Companies (OpCo’s) to launch Danaher Ventures (equity investment), Pioneer (venture creation), Beacon (sponsored academic research) and/or Nexus (intrapreneurship) projects, and to ensure that IP created through these strategic partnerships is properly advanced to new products.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Identify complete set of start-ups and new ventures in Asia that align with the strategic envelope of the Danaher Ventures and could be targets for investment. Areas of focus: Genomic Medicine, Next-Generation Bioprocessing, Human Systems R&D, Diagnosis and AI/ML in Life Sciences and Healthcare. Initiate contact with targets in order to develop an point of view on attractiveness, adjacency and actionability. Lead cultivation, deal development and due diligence on select targets in partnership with Danaher’s internal network of subject matter experts and commercial leaders. The essential requirements of the job include:

• Advanced degree in a scientific / engineering discipline and/or business (Areas of focus: Genomic Medicine, Next-Generation Bioprocessing, Human Systems R&D, Diagnosis and AI/ML in Life Sciences and Healthcare), plus 8+ years of experience in the Pharmaceutical/Biotech/Life Science industry discovery and early development
• Experience in venture investing in early- to late-stage startups, experience/lab work in a biology setting, preferred. Mixture of Asia and global experience preferred. Successful track record in external R&D, partnering, licensing and/or business development preferred
• Established networks across scientific/biotech/pharma/academic/investment communities

Centre for Lifelong Learning and Individualised Cognition CLIC is a research collaboration between the University of Cambridge and Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and hosted by the Cambridge Centre for Advanced Research and Education in Singapore (CARES) that aims to develop neuroscience-based interventions for lifelong flexible learning. Launched in October 2020 and funded by the National Research Foundation Singapore, CLIC brings together a multidisciplinary team of psychologists, neuroscientists, linguists and educators who conduct innovative research in the science of learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• To support CLIC Directors Prof Zoe Kourtzi (University of Cambridge) and Prof Annabel Chen (Nanyang Technological University) in providing leadership and day-to-day management of all CLIC research activities.
• To supervise and coordinate all CLIC programme staff (senior research fellow, research fellows, research associates, assistants and administrative staff) employed in Singapore.
• To facilitate co-ordination and communication between PIs from the University of Cambridge (UK) and Nanyang Technological University (Singapore).

1. Develop and build competencies in process and design engineering for ISCE2

2. As part of ISCE2 management team, contribute to building a mission and values driven organization

3. Lead and deliver Low-carbon Technology Translation Testbed (LCT3) as a national infrastructure for local and international partnerships

• Understand LCT3 objectives, operating philosophy and how LCT3 fits into the wider ecosystem to support Singapore's Net-Zero ambitions.
• Develop a clear scope that the LCT3 initiative can plan and mobilise against and work with agency stakeholders to set KPIs for the long term sustenance of the facility
• Plan and manage budget for LCT3
