Caring for patients in an outpatient setting at Big Rapids Family Medicine 650 Linden Street Big Rapids, Michigan you will see full-scope family medicine patients, caring for them across their lifespan. Job Summary
The physician is responsible for the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of the health problems presented by the patients.
Essential Functions
- Assesses and monitors the medical needs of patients/significant others.
- Provides quality medical services to patients in a cost effective, appropriate manner and ensures coverage of case load at all times.
- Provides input into the development of policies and procedures as they related to medical practice and quality patient care.
- Provides oversight of Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners and others providing delegated services to patients.
- Evaluates patients'/significant others'/staff educational needs and develops and implements appropriate teaching strategies or delegates to appropriate resources.
- Documents in a manner consistent with regulatory standards.
- Communicates with other members of the health care team in order to ensure continuity of care and coordination of services. Acts as a patient/family advocate.
- Participates in ongoing process improvement activities through the development/application of clinical paths, process improvement and other related activities.
Actively works with Spectrum Health to meet financial and patient satisfaction goals.
Qualifications
- Required Bachelor's Degree
- LIC-Physician (MD) - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required Or
- LIC-Osteopathic Physician (DO) - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required
- CRT-DEA Registration - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association 120 Days required Or
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross 120 Days required
- CRT-Adv Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - AHA American Heart Association If required by specialty or stress test performed 120 Days required
