Bloomberg’s Multi-Asset Risk System (MARS) and derivatives data and valuation services (BVAL OTC) offers a comprehensive suite of risk management tools that delivers consistent, consolidated results across our clients entire firm. MARS is powered by Bloomberg’s world-class pricing library, market data and mortgage cash flow engine, and together with BVAL OTC enables front office, risk, middle office, collateral managers and other financial professionals to analyze their trading and investment portfolios, manage and mitigate their exposure and ready themselves for any turn of events.
What's the role?
As a key member of our APAC Sell-side Solutions Sales team, you'll be responsible for sales of the suite of solutions under the Bloomberg MARS and BVAL OTC offering. You'll work closely with clients and prospects to gain a clear understanding of their business needs, build strong relationships, and provide consultative solutions.
You will have a broad knowledge of fixed income and derivative markets, with a solid grasp of the regulatory landscape. You will be comfortable engaging with a range of players across organizations from banks, securities houses to interdealer brokers and exchanges. You’ll be familiar with their technical architecture, data flow, systems and workflows: who uses what and for what purpose. You'll be a good listener; able to demonstrate a genuine interest in our clients. You’ll be comfortable interacting with C-level executives, be experienced with long selling cycles, and be confident in communicating how our pricing, risk management and regulatory solutions will contribute to our clients' overall business goals.
We'll trust you to:
- Manage the sales engagement smoothly from beginning to end
- Establish and execute a pipeline building strategy for your target market
- Balance multiple engagements across the sales life-cycle
- Use market, product and technical expertise, and contribute innovative ideas that anticipate to identify and address client needs
- Build relationships across client organizations to ensure that all stakeholders are managed appropriately as part of the sales process
- Leverage your knowledge to build and maintain credibility with clients
- Act as a subject matter expert in derivatives, valuations, risk management and regulations
- Be able to produce clear, concise proposals and presentations that identify client needs, current workflows, proposed solutions and commercials
- Work with internal product teams to recommend enhancements to our range of client solutions
- Collaborate across different product and sales teams to deliver the right suite of solutions for each client
- Participate actively in new projects that drive departmental and firm-wide initiatives and goals
- Seek out additional ways to make an impact, such as mentoring, involvement in training, running campaigns, and active involvement in product improvement
You’ll need to have:
- 5+ years of experience in financial services technology solutions sales where you have met or exceeded demanding targets
- Demonstrable experience working with derivative products, gained from experiences as either a market participant, technology solutions support specialist or sales specialist within the past 5 years
- Demonstrated work experiences advising or adhering to regulatory requirements, with strong understanding of sell-side and risk management workflows and concepts such as, Credit Risk, Market Risk, XVA, VAR etc.
- Consultative sales approach and experience building relationships with senior level customers
- Demonstrated continuous career growth within an organisation
- Ability to engage and collaborate with other teams internally
- Aptitude to excel in a fast paced, rapidly growing environment
- Exemplary presentation and communication skills in English
- A willingness to travel is essential. Our clients are located all over ASEAN
- Bachelor’s degree or degree-equivalent qualifications

- Professional working proficiency of an additional Asian language
